While the service was good and fast they forgot to give us the extra biscuit we ordered and even though we ordered spicy they gave us mild, however the atmosphere and service were pretty good and welcoming

2026.01.17 Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, dark meat fried chicken mild I like, as its juicy, seasoned, tasty, not overcooked. But their fried chicken breast is dry, overcooked. Two stars for overcooking, dry white meat chicken.

The higher the temperature the protein reaches, the more moisture is squeezed out of the protein strands. White chicken meat is easier to overcook than dark chicken meat.

They stopped offering beans and rice which was quite tasty years ago. Allow about fifteen minutes for your order to be ready.

Most of their customers are for take out. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for their chicken, especially overcooked white meat chicken.

Coming on a Tuesday night was a bad idea, but still... Waited 15 mins for 4 pieces of tiny chicken that cost about $20. Very poor value even if it tastes better than KFC. Only upside is the spacious dining room and washrooms.

Having been to many Popeyes in Burnaby, new Westminster, I still find this place to be top notch in terms of food quality. This place is always consistent in food processing, crispy and well seasoned, though it is sometimes salty and that’s Popeyes’ style isn’t it? It was happy to see Metrotown having a Popeyes, however, their food quality just cannot compare with this location—always dry and too salty. Personally I’m a fan of fried chicken, and there are Korean style and American styles. Both Texas fried chicken and Popeyes have their own recipes, while Korean ones might heavily rely on their dips.
