Not authentic Singaporean food. They tried their best to make it authentic but the taste is very different then what it should have been.

This restaurant seems to focus mainly on takeout and affordable pricing. I dined in, but there was essentially no table service — I had to go to the counter to place my order and ask for the bill. The food also appeared to be mostly pre-made. Unfortunately, the taste did not meet my standards, and I hate to say that nothing really stood out as good. I honestly wonder how they’ve been around for so long — perhaps my expectations were too high, or maybe nowadays people care more about price than quality.

Beware, this shop is Cash Only.

I love the Hainan Chicken rice, and their veggies are delicious as well! However, the service quality is subpar to the quality of their food, which is kind of proving this restaurant is authentic. I’ve visited this restaurant often and will come back again, just don’t expect much of friendly service then you’ll be fine.

Sadly, the chicken was cold. Beef rendang had more potatoes than beef and the gravy was watery. I have lived in Singapore for 15 years and I’m just disappointed that this is how Singaporean food is being showcased here.

Be careful if you buy take out, buying one chicken you only get 70% the whole chicken breast is gone.
Not a honest restaurant.

Super authentic Hainanese chicken rice! We ordered all three flavors of chicken and loved every one of them 😋 The skewers were great too. Will definitely be back!

It is more geared towards people from Singapore as it is an acquired taste

Went on my own for a lunch. Got a free ranged chicken platter. Chicken was flavourful but not a fan of how soft the chicken was but that's more of a personal preference. Sauces were tasty and soup was a bit bland. I usually like to have a bit of green onion in mine.

Prata Man in Richmond is a solid spot for Southeast Asian comfort food. Don’t go in with expectations of superb service and ambience, - this is a no frills spot with food at the forefront. The laksa is decent and hits the basics, but the real standout is the Hainan chicken - tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, with fragrant rice that steals the show. Definitely worth coming back for the chicken alone.

Their USD to CAD conversion rate is a rip off, and it’s applied to the full cash amount you give them, NOT the amount of the bill. We basically had to spend 57CAD on a 26CAD bill. Owner was super rude and wouldn’t even let us go to the ATM even though it was 3 minutes away. Huge ripoff. Hainan chicken decent but not the best I’ve had. If you want to eat here make sure you have Canadian debit or CAD.

Prataman Singapore Cuisine never disappoints! Their Hainanese chicken is honestly the best in town - super tender, flavourful, and perfectly seasoned. The curry brisket is also amazing, rich and comforting with melt-in-your-mouth beef.

Portions are great, service is quick, and it really feels like a hidden gem. Highly recommended if you’re craving solid Singaporean comfort food!
