Good coffee shop but not great seating for working - not a problem :)
Great coffee, need to try
This is one of the best coffee experiences you can get in the lower mainland. Emphasis is on the coffee. Come here to enjoy a quiet time by yourself or with a friend-no laptops allowed (always a good sign). On one occasion, I could hear the owner and barista chatting about coffee beans etc while they were tasting sample beans behind the counter (another good sign). I get the flatado here (bigger than cortado, smaller than flat white). The drink itself is excellent. The espresso’s fruitiness really cut through the milk leaving a pleasant, sweet aftertaste. I was genuinely surprised. Thought has been put into the roasting and bean selection for their in-house blend. The beans they sell are reasonably priced and there’s other assorted coffee equipment for purchase. Parking situation can be a bit of a pain due to the location, but it’s worth the short walk to spend time here.
Coffee was totally awesome! Raised the bar.
No laptop policy and tablet 45 min policy was weird. Don’t understand where this is coming from. If you wanna cap the seating time you could just say it like dine in can only be 45 min or less. Otherwise why are laptop users discriminated against book readers for example. Why does it matter to you what your customers are doing when they ve paid for the coffee.
Music playlist could be better.
Overly priced coffee beans and very unpleasant experience. Instead of simply telling me their policy, the male staff said nothing, walked me outside, and pointed at a sign saying “No laptops inside.” That’s not communication — that’s snobbery. Felt rude and unwelcoming. I won’t be coming back.
Cute coffee shop in richmond that roasts their own beans. It felt like a family owned business, cute atmosphere and they have a no laptop rule. The place is quite small so it seats maybe 15 people if I had to guess.
I tried their oat milk cortado, while my friend got a pourover. The cortado was strong in a good way - it tasted like a dark roast with light notes of bitter, quite rich, but also very smooth. If you like a strong dark roast coffee flavour, order this! As for the pour over, they had many options, but we tried the one that was $+1 from peru. I felt like it had a unique flavour that some might enjoy, but it was a bit too acidic for our liking. It’s based off of preference.
Overall, it’s a great coffe shop in richond, that I’d return to if ever in the area. Friendly staff, nice space and great for those coffee lovers.
Chill vibes and great coffee. a little to light for me but really good coffee.
The people running this place are serious about coffee. You can taste it in their drinks, especially the pourovers. Wish I had more time to spend there.
Real coffee here. Had a cortado to go and it was spot on. The barista was nice and service was quick.
Boss’ comments on the low reviews are great 👍 don’t go here if you’re looking for fast food coffee or a day-long study spot
I ordered a cup of flat white today — it was amazingly good! It had a subtle hint of alcohol and such a rich, flavorful taste. It really made my day!

Great coffee beans + aesthetic spot
This place is my go-to for specialty coffee in Richmond. The coffee has amazing clarity, and they offer a great selection of beans. You can tell the roaster/barista is passionate about their work and has put their heart into it.
I can't believe how snobby this place is. This is just coffee. JUST coffee. You aren't saving lives here
I was asked to leave a tip but I got my own coffee and cake, cleaned up the table afterward, and returned the dishes to the self-service area. I don’t even tip at Starbucks for this level of service.
Easily one of the most unpleasant coffee shop experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this place values attitude over hospitality. They don’t allow laptops, don’t open until 10 a.m., and actually require every single person who enters to buy something — even if you’re just waiting for a friend. It’s less of a café and more of a power trip disguised as a coffee shop.
The coffee? Mediocre at best. Nothing you couldn’t get at a dozen other cafés nearby for half the pretension. But what really ruins it is the staff — unbelievably arrogant, dismissive, and flat-out rude. They behave like they’re doing you a favor by acknowledging your existence, and any attempt at basic conversation or feedback is met with eye rolls or snark.
And if you think the in-person experience is bad, wait until you see how the owner handles criticism online. Instead of addressing issues professionally, he lashes out at customers, mocks their opinions, and literally tells people to “go to Starbucks” if they don’t like his coffee. That level of ego and immaturity says everything you need to know about how this place is run.
Save yourself the attitude and go somewhere that actually values its customers — because this place certainly doesn’t.
