The Missus and I came across the Steveston Harbour Riverside Cafe while on our waterfront walk. It was located at the end of Trites Road at Dyke Road and accessible inside a secured area when the gates are opened. Truly an unexpected find as the service was friendly, reasonable prices and delicious food.
There were Canadian breakfast and lunch dishes on the menu but we opted for the Vietnamese Beef Flank Pho, Grilled Chicken Banh Mi Sub and a side of Spring Rolls. Everything was tasty. It was a nice stop and we will return again.
Best pho I’ve ever had!!! Totally a hidden gem. I got pho tai (rare beef). The beef was incredibly tender, well cooked and no chewy/fatty pieces. The broth was perfectly seasoned. The toppings were incredibly fresh and fragrant. The caramalized chili oil was delicious.

Very unique location!
This place reminds me of Cambodia. I love all the paintings and pictures on the wall. Very cosy .
Food is quite good, it’s tasty and I don’t find myself thirsty after eating at all (the MSG feeling) which is a plus for me! Their spring roll is surprisingly good, you don’t find it greasy at all.
Servers are very attentive and quick.
I’d come back to try their other items

Excellent food and service. Prices are very reasonable! The loud TV takes away from enjoying it more. Authentic photos on the walls are beautiful and refreshing. 💕💕💕

Diners are few and far between. Good ones are even fewer. This was a perfect specimen, lovingly cared for by a family operator. Try it, you will love it.

Food is good and the restaurant feels homey. Their caramelized hot sauce is really tasty and goes well with rice, might be homemade too! Price is not the same as listed on Google.
This was my second time here. We got the pho and vietnamese sub. Both were good. The lady who served us was so nice!
I love this little gem. Delicious food and wonderful staff. The food is very reasonably priced and the quality is outstanding. Always fresh and flavourful. I particularly enjoy the bahn mi. And their french fries are nice and crispy. Their pho is so tasty and the portions are generous. Never disappointed in a visit.

Wonderful Vietnamese sandwiches with good prices and great service. They have lots of great Vietnamese options as well as burgers, fish and chips and other options. We'll be back!

Had the halibut fish and chips. Fish was dry and seemed overcooked.
