This place at 4791 McClelland Rd #1620 Richmond is such a gem for beef lovers. The portions are massive—like, seriously generous—and the flavor? Spot on. Everything felt rich and satisfying without being over the top. Service was great too; the staff really went out of their way to make sure everything was just how we wanted, super thoughtful. Oh, and they’re running a 10th anniversary deal right now, which made it even better value. Perfect spot if you’re craving good food and attentive service.

First time here after recommendation from friends, pleasantly surprised. Staff is attentive and food is tasty, not overly oily or salty like many other Chinese restaurants. We particularly enjoyed spicy century eggs and sauerkraut fish as well as the black pepper ribs, with yogurt panna cotta to finish.

Potato with beef claypot here is awesome super fragrant. Hairy belly is surprisingly good! Got this nice bite to it, no weird aftertaste at all. the staff also so friendly and chill.

Hands down, the best restaurant in Richmond. The food and service are outstanding! by far the best I’ve experienced in the area. Everyone is incredibly kind and helpful. I moved here about 6 months ago and have tried many places, but Royal Beef stands above them all fr. Whenever I’m craving food that’s comforting and flavor rich, this is where I come back <3 . Everything is fresh, juicy, and perfectly spiced (for all tastes). Highly recommended =)

Stopped by this spot at 4791 McClelland Rd #1620 Richmond after hearing about their anniversary specials—so glad I did! The “酱香牛尾” caught my eye, and wow, it was so rich and flavorful, like melt-in-your-mouth good. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the “筋头巴脑牛一锅”—the broth was slightly spicy but super comforting, especially on a chilly day.

The staff? Super friendly and quick with everything. It was chill, no rushy vibes. Might’ve over-ordered because the menu’s kind of hard to choose from (everything sounds tempting), but no regrets honestly.

I heard this place makes great Squirrel Fish, and since I love the dish, I came to try it. I picked a fresh marbled goby, and the sweet-and-sour flavor was nicely balanced. The batter was light and turned crisp after frying. Maybe marbled goby isn’t the best choice for Squirrel Fish—the meat was a bit loose—but overall the dish was well prepared. It would be even better with some pine nuts added.

The stir-fried pork kidney was also very good—the scoring, flavor, and tenderness were all on point, and it had plenty of wok-hei. Prices are reasonable and the service is warm. It would be perfect if they could offer a small complimentary dessert at the end of the meal like Cantonese restaurants do.

I’ll try a few more dishes that I’m interested in next time and share my thoughts with everyone again.

Tried a fun little spread at Royal Beef and really enjoyed the mix of flavours. The beef pie came packed with juicy beef, wrapped in a shell that sat right between crispy and chewy. The tomato beef noodles had that sweet-tangy, comforting home-style vibe. The spicy beef & potato clay pot brought real heat with that satisfying numbing kick, though the potatoes leaned a bit dry. Loved the tender dried tofu strips too; they eat almost like chewy noodles and soak up seasoning really well. Service was attentive throughout, and overall it made for a solid, enjoyable meal.
