A nice big high ceilings and big windows Chinese restaurant. It's good enough for a dim sum lunch and dinner since the place is comfortable and roomy. It's a good Chinese restaurant if you are meeting your friends and family since it's comfortable and not noise.
They offer 20% off for the dim sum and free tea in the morning until 11am Monday to Friday. This is a good deal if you can go in the morning. There are plenty of free parking too.
Since the restaurant is big, sometimes you may find no enough staff there.
The price is reasonable and food is quite good. They have some promotion combo and special price in lunch time.
If you are in this area, you can try it once.

Restaursnt. Rosyal garden is one of the best in Richmond.
a bit expensive
This was my first time here. Our families heard of their dim sum pricing specials here, especially the 20% off, which applies when you pay before 11am. Luckily we had family coming into Vancouver from Ottawa and we arrived when their doors opened first thing in the morning. By the way the parkade here is notoriously tight. Since we came early we just all lined up so we wouldn’t get door dinged from strangers.
Upon entering the dining area, it’s very spacious with high ceilings. We reserved 4 tables with a dozen people or less each. The service is very friendly and the staff loved all the kids 😀.
Every dish that came out was hot and fresh. The quality is great and the portions are good. I would definitely come back and try out their dinner menu in the future.
I truly enjoyed the food! The dim sum was delicious, service was exceptional and the ambiance was beautiful. The food wasn’t greasy or full of msg. I would definitely come back and make this my regular dim sum place.
This is the first time dining for dimsum here over 3 years. Restaurant looks very bright with its large windows, high ceilings and beautiful chandeliers. Definitely the spot to book for banquets and any special occasions! Service from the waiters/waitresses were friendly and welcoming. The food tasted amazing and the portions were generous. The food didn’t taste too salty or greasy. I especially loved the lava yolk steam buns where the custard oozed out as soon as you took a bite out of it. The durian dessert rice ball was flavourful and delicious and you can see the chunks of durian. Will definitely come again!
Two dishes in two hours, we ordered six dishes in total, but in the end they all left because they refused.

Came for dim sum, which was pretty mediocre. Har Gao were huge and delicious, but everything else was very bland. Mango pudding was terrible. Seemed popular enough though, maybe the non-dim sum items are better?

Been here previously with family but had the unfortunate experience on November 2nd of being denied entry with our PADS service dog-in-training Zuko. We had our government-issued IDs that certify our status as handlers, yet the staff did not seem to understand that it was unlawful to refuse service animals (we even showed the government webpage that states it) and kept asking us what services Zuko was providing, which is discriminatory. The manager Scott Iu was also an extremely rude man who was quick to dismiss me, saying in Cantonese “this is a private property, just take your dog and leave” and that he would not understand any resources I try to provide. Needless to say, we are filing official complaints with the government and BC Human Rights Tribunal.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not accommodating at all to anyone with disabilities (seen and unseen) given that they denied a service dog entry.

Would not let me bring in my service dog in training

This restaurant denied access to a service dog in training and their handlers, even after official documentation was shown AND even after they were told it was illegal to deny service. I cannot in good conscience support an ableist and discriminatory establishment such as this. Shame on you, Royal Garden, if you work in the service industry, you need to educate yourselves on the needs of people with disabilities, which constitutes 15% of the overall population in BC.

The red-haired girl in charge 👩🦰 has a bad temper, speaks badly, and throws away her temper every day? Haha 😂Discrimination against Mandarin speakers, Cantonese speakers can sit wherever they want, they will fall out faster than flipping through a book😇 After complaining to the female manager, she apologized and gave her two plates of dessert👍

Love this seafood restaurant, I tried their seafood congee, dumplings, and beef noodles and it was the best food experience ever, totally bursting with flavors and the food was cooked extremely well, I am a big fan of their dumplings and beef noodles (a must try) overall menu had excellent options, and I will be back to try more. When we got there the restaurant was bustling, the staff was polite, friendly, and professional, and they helped us get seated and brought us delicious tea while we were looking at the menu, overall this place has a cozy feel to it and the food is high quality and mouth watering. I highly recommend it!
