What an experience! Was warmly welcomed in right at 5 when they reopened. Server was beyond friendly and very prompt. I ordered the cheese katsu and could not believe how good it was! That mixed with the unlimited rice and salad, and the amazing house dressing made it even better.

I have been to several of their locations and they are extremely consistent with the level of service and quality of the food.

It is on the more expensive as far as dinner options go but you receive a high quality of food in a more laidback but beautifully designed space.

The dinner options come with unlimited refills on the side dishes, which is quite nice. They also have excellent service - you never wait long for anything.

Saku (all of the locations) will continue to be one of my recommend places for a guaranteed quality meal.

The service is incredible and the staff are so kind and welcoming; they are on top of refills, and have a great sense of humou. The food is great too.

Saku service and food is consistently great! Have been to this location a few times. Brought a friend visiting from Australia and we both enjoyed our meals.

Came in for lunch on a Friday right before the rush, excellent service and delicious food.

My parents came here for dinner and were seated at 5:30pm. Their food arrived around 5:50pm, and by the time they finished eating at about 6:15pm, they already felt rushed to leave. If they had wanted more soup or salad, they wouldn’t have had the chance, as the staff seemed more focused on seating new guests. My parents are paying customers too, and they deserve to enjoy their meal without being hurried out.

On the pricey side but you'll always get good food. Even though it's cheap and a stomach filler, glad they're generous in cabbage

The food was good, but I felt the other Saku locations were higher quality. Not much ingredients in the tonjiru which was a bit disappointing. Katsu is good but it’s not that crispy and thick for the price. Servers were not the friendliest, but still attentive

THE MOST DISAPPOINTING PART was the chairs. I thought the wood chairs were so uncomfortable and it made the whole experience less enjoyable. My back started hurting a lot… Katsu san (Surrey location) has great chairs with a comfortable cushion so I would prefer those 🤷‍♀️

This said to be must-try Japanese style restaurant in Vancouver. We were disappointed by top price menu and the food, the size of thin katsu (deep fried pork) with rice was so small , the frying batter of small shrimp was thick. We need to get two refill salad cabbage and miso soup.

Some of the best katsu I’ve had recently definitely worth the drive to find it.
