Salmon n' Bannock On The Fly

My flight got delayed and I had lots of time to spend so I decided to find something to eat.

The staff were super nice and gave great tips and description for the food available, and recommendations were great!

Had the BBQ Salmon Bannockwich Sandwich and it was tasty! Salmon salad mix was paired with t fresh tomato and salad leaves, but the bread was warm and soft so the combo made it more delicious! Such a great and filling meal before a long flight!

Very tempted to try the Bison sandwich as well!

They make a great latté! The line at Starbucks was long and I was won over by the employee advertising the coffee. Give it a try!

Had the bannock veggie taco and it was nothing short of amazing. Filling, delicious, and almost a comfort food. I highly recommend, especially for supporting an indigenous and Canadian owned and run business, with Canadian food (and booze!!!)

Just had the wild salmon burger and have to be honest… wild caught salmon what a beautiful taste..!! You’ll pay a bit more than the processed airport takeaways but your getting great fresh food indigenous style.

After staying in Vancouver for 2 weeks and experiencing all it has to offer in terms of great places to eat, I didn't expect to be adding to the list a place at the airport! But that's what I got - an Indigenous-owned fast food joint where you can get really interesting food. I had the Elk burger and enjoyed it so much I went back and got the Pulled Bison burger. Both were absolutely delicious with juicy meat, nice bread and salad. Another bonus, for someone who is slightly gluten intolerant, is that they offer gluten free bread as an option and yet it still tastes good.
The lady at the counter was super friendly too. You owe it to yourself to eat at the Salmon & Bannock if you're at Vancouver airport.
I can't imagine why the adjacent Church's Texas Chicken or A&W chain stores get more custom than the Salmon & Bannock diner, although this is another reason to visit, as your queue time will be a lot shorter.

Friday night at 930 pm had good salmon , nicely seasoned,and bannock, dense but fresh. Came with side green salad.

I cannot rave about this restaurant enough! The best kickstarter to any vacation! I had a elk breakfast sandwich and a coffee that were delicious! And then got a BBQ salmon salad sandwich to-go to take on the flight with me so I wouldn't have to order the instant plane food. And again the sandwich exceeded my expectations! Wow! Because I was headed on vacation I also had a morning beer, they have a delicious variety of local brews. Can't wait for my next international vacation to eat there again, what a treat!
