I didn't like seafood before but Salty's Lobster Shack changed my mind ! Now I love it and can't wait to go back. Service, quality, and freshness is amazing. The Lobster bisque was my favourite.

Will never go again to the Richmond Salty’s lobster at the Steveston Cafe & Hotel. Totally disappointed compared to the Salty’s Lobster Food Truck.We where there early afternoon today Sunday Sept 04/2022. Ordered 2 Lobster Mac & Cheese and Lobster Grilled Cheese. The Lobster Mac and Cheese NO Lobster Chunks in one of them. The second one had a couple of small pieces, and sadly so salty. Neither one of us finished it. Not even a third through.The Lobster Grilled Cheese had a fishy taste, was one piece of Lobster on one side of the sandwich the other side had a small sliver. Totally disappointed compared to the Food Truck. The bread was thin like cheap bread. If I remember right the sandwich at the food truck was allot thicker. Just can’t remember.Anyways, totally disappointed and won’t go again to the The Steveston Cafe and Hotel Take out for Salty’s Lobster Shack.Sadly it affects the cafe as we thought they were together as one!Won’t order from Salty’s again. :-(Only at the Food Truck. Which seems totally different…

Very slow service, we were told it would be a 12min wait however waited 30+ minutes for fish and chips and a lobster roll. As did the people before us too!Also, the woman at the front desk inside the restaurant was extremely rude. We entered the restaurant while waiting for our takeout as it was extremely hot outside & there was no shade. She proceeded to be very rude towards us & told us we couldn’t sit inside & to wait outside but delivered it very rudely. It’s unfortunate about the service because the food was actually very tasty, however small portions.

Maine lobster roll was okay, but getting charged $11 for a half filled bowl of lobster bisque is ridiculous. The bowl isn't even big, to fill just half way deserves a 1 star.

I posted a 100% honest review a while back about how this place charged me $17 for a "lobster grilled cheese" that had NOT ONE piece of lobster in it. And apparently this business somehow got my review removed. This is quite dishonest, just like the great amounts of filler they put in their food that they are charging real lobster prices for. I could forgive one mistake by a worker, but this shows that the whole business itself is problematic.

Wow. What a reduction in quality and quantity from last year, but the prices have gone up. Was so forward looking to have Salty’s come back to Steveston too. When they were at the Britannia Shipyards field last year, I went practically every week. This trip will be my last time going back. 2 limp looking grilled cheese sandwiches with a bit of lobster (that had a distinct fishy taste and small -not fresh) and a half cup of lobster bisque was $50+. Rip off. Inflation and shrinkage, along with reduced quality. Bye bye.

Food tasted great, just wish the portions were bigger
Love the crab and lobster rolls. Bisque was full of meat too. Only gripe is are the location changes; not always present when I want to visit.
Taste wise is pretty good, though for the portion sizes are kinda small and a tad bit expensive for that much food.
Delicious, fresh, and beautifully crafted. There are always friendly faces here.
