I discovered Samsoonie almost 10 years ago now, it’s always a staple to go when you’re craving some Korea style food. The food is always delicious, it’s hard to give a recommendation on what to try on your first time, after eating here so much pretty much trying everything I could say try something new every time you come. I would also recommend when you come make sure you indulge with yourself or the people you go with, order multiple items and try what interest you on the menu.
The service is really good here, very kind, friendly and helpful staff who will help you will your needs and wants.
A few things to keep in mind, they only accept cash or debit so make sure your prepared for that, it can get busy at peak hours of the day or on weekends, the restaurant is not the biggest so it does fill up fast so also keep in that mind if you are planning to come and additionally the parking isn’t the best but i recommend to park at the back of the restaurant where there is tons of parking and is less crowded.
Got the japchae and it was exactly what I was looking for. Can’t wait to go back, delicioussssss
But I, being hungry, gaze again towards this Katsu.
The portion size of the #25 LA galbi with rice is so so so small for $30 and super dry and over cooked. For a Korean restaurant the only side dishes that were given were bean sprouts and fish cakes, not even a side of kimchi. I have never been to a Korean restaurant that doesn’t give you kimchi on the side. Definitely do not recommend and won’t be coming back. Servers didn’t check up on us once. Probably the worst Korean restaurant all tricities
Terrible experience. This place used to be good back in days. We ordered LA Galbi for $30 and it came with 3 strips of meat, dry and overcooked. We informed the server and she said theres nothing she can do about it. The side dish had no kimchi. Its unfortunate because this place used to be everyones go to. The server never once checked on us during the meal either. I would save your time and go somewhere else.
Food came quickly and was really good, with great portion sizes. Will definitely come back!
Unkind and unprofessional service.
Disappointing would be the best to describe my experience. I started to come to this place when it first opened and something's changed. To plainly put it, it's not that good. Meager side plates that don't include kimchi. Prices.. yikes. The price for LA Galbi with rice doesn't equate.
Their portions are amazing at this restaurant! Usually when I order spicy rice cake at other places, it's a smaller portion and doable for me to even eat all of it myself. Samsoonie gives you a massive bowl of it with noodles, an egg, fish cake and adjusts the spicy level according to your needs. They made the medium level exactly how I wanted it and it was so filling, I had to carry the rest to go for work lunch the next day! All for $16, great value right there. The seafood pancake is also delicious and comes in 2 sizes.
This place is very dirty. Always so many flies everywhere, it's disgusting and unsanitary. How has this place not been shutdown?

We tried bimbambap and sundubu. Food was very mediocre, bordering on bland. Maybe it's a dollar or two cheaper than other korean restaurants, but would not return here.
We were hoping to get some comforting hot soup and this place just did not live up to expectations. It was so bad that it’s funny and we kinda just laughed while eating it. We couldn’t finish it (as it was so bad) we left half of the food unfinished.
The soups were so bland even though one of them was supposed to be spicy and I found the portion to be small. I feel like I could have made a better soup myself at home. They also only have 2 tiny side dishes, and there was no kimchi.
The environment is also really run down. Tables were old and walls were ugly. Price wasn’t even cheap. It was $20 and $17 for the two soups. Not sure how it’s a 4.1 star right now.
I recommend bibim dumplings.
Tiny restaurant but service was still terrible. You basically have to stand up and goto the cashier if you want anything such as ordering and not having to wait 10 minutes. Food is ok but I would go to another Korean restaurant to get better service and dining room.
Used to frequent the place because it was a decent tasting, good value restaurant. After they raised the prices, it has become an overpriced spot for the quality/taste of food.
