One of the best coffee shops in Richmond and popular cyclist hangout spot. Coffee is superb. Pastries are great. Ambience is pleasant. We stop by for a coffee every time we are in the area

Itâs a wonderful place to stop in for a coffee before starting out on a days bicycle ride or at the end of a ride to relax and enjoy something to eat and chat about how the ride was.

Great little cafe in the London Landing area. The owner is a bike enthusiast so you'll see all kinds of bike themed decorations here.
Many cyclists come here as one of the pit stops and you can enjoy both indoors and outside.
I tried the London Fog and it was just right (not too sweet). It comes with a little cookie too.
There is parking on the street and in the lot, but it is certainly more accessible by bike and on foot.

Picture this: Dense foam, topped on 3 shots of chocolatey, velvet espresso. A cinnamon spoon that pairs perfectly with the sprinkle of brown sugar on top.
Rarely do I ever encounter a perfect 10 crafted dry cappuccino like this one. The young gentleman barista hit it beautifully on the first try.
Group of cyclists hanging out, and 3 cafe students. Only 1 star off for the AC being on by the window and plugs - a little noisy.
Baked goods looked real and quality. By the way, the prices are totally fair and the taste reflects the commitment to quality.

My friend and I tried out this cafe a couple weeks ago. I got a cappuccino and my friend got an iced vanilla latte.
The coffee was good.
My friend's iced latte was served in a covered togo cup. Half way through her drink we noticed a strand of hair on the inside wall of the cup. We decided to let the staff know. We walked back in and talked to a lady and told her about the hair. She took the cup from us and started scratching cup a few times and asked us: are u sure it's inside the cup ?
She went to talk to a man who took our orders at the front. They both looked at the hair and scratched the cup as well. Then the man looked up and asked if we wanted another drink.
At this point, we just wanted to leave and did not want to deal with them anymore.
First, there were no apologies. Second, the way we were spoken to sounded like we planted the hair in there. Third, we were not offered the option for a refund.
This service was disappointing.
Sanctuary Coffee offers an intriguing specialty coffee experience. I tried their Ethiopian blend which delivered interesting complexity - distinct strawberry notes up front with a pleasant chestnut undertone and a lingering sweetness. The acidity was pronounced, which might not be everyone's preference but showcases the beans' character.
The café's rustic wooden interior with exposed brick and Edison lighting creates a welcoming atmosphere. Their South American and Colombian offerings round out a thoughtfully curated selection.

First visit to the shop while I'm a trip to Vancouverm. The service was pretty good but the American I ordered was very poor. It tasted like drip coffee and there was no sign of any crema. That's usually the sign of a barista who doesn't take pride in their work or using old beans. Why have an expensive machine when you don't even use it properly.
