After a friend’s recommendation, we decided to give it a try. We ordered the chicken, beef, and lamb shawarmas—unfortunately, they were drowning in grease and far too salty. If you’ve eaten shawarma in Egypt, Israel, Greece, Jordan, or Turkey, you’ll know exactly what I mean. This wasn’t it.
On the upside, the French fries were absolutely the best I’ve ever had!
We’ll check them out in a few months and see if better.
The food is so freaking good oh my gosh!!!!! The chicken is so juicy and sometimes not all shawarma places have that consistently. Applause is much warranted for the food quality. Also, I got take out the first time I tried this place and the pita chips stayed super crispy even after sitting for like 30 minutes between pick up and actually eating it. Staff are also super friendly and although the restaurant is called “shawarma 2 go” the interior is quite cozy and clean and there’s plenty of space to dine in. My go-to place in Richmond for shawarma now!

There were 4 of us visiting this Shawarma 2 Go Grill for lunch. Totally impressed with this shawarma place. The restaurant is new and clean, staff very pleasant and helpful, and food excellent. I ordered the lamb shank and it was perfect. The place is halal and family oriented. The portions were big and we all had half to take home.

I recommend getting the Chicken Shawarma Plate with Rice or the Mix Shawarma plate. It's well cooked and healthy carbs with vegetables. Trust me you won't be disappointed. 10/10 rating
