Do not got to this place. The fried chicken is just flour with barely no chicken. The boss is very rude and do not respect at all.

Save your money, the food is actually disgusting. Did not finish my food because I was worried of food poisoning. There are much better options in the food court, I think this may be the worst stall.

Got the chicken teriyaki bento box with California roll and the only thing I thought was great was the rice and teriyaki sauce and the yam tempura. The chicken was just salt and pepper seasoned and most of it was gristle and some felt undercooked and extremely chewy. The California roll was extremely dry.
If you grew up in Richmond in the early 2000’s and you’ve never tried this place like I was I wouldn’t recommend it.

They forgot my chicken karaage. I went all the way home and found out after. I would recommend checking the order after they complete it. The prices seem reasonable for the portion size and it looks like they may have one of the cheapest California rolls in the lower mainland.

I think that the price point and quality of the food is good. This place is now my go to for an easy weekend lunch with my toddler. They have $5/6 udon and teriyaki on rice which is a safe dish for kids to have. Iced coffee is decent as well!

I am writing to formally lodge a serious complaint regarding the unacceptable and disgraceful behavior of your staff at the Shogun location at 5300 Number 3 Rd, Richmond, BC V6X 2X9 on

Today, when I ordered a milk tea, the staff failed to properly cover the lid, which is a basic hygiene and service standard. When I brought this issue to their attention and requested an apology, I was not only denied one but was also treated with extreme rudeness. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, the staff shouted at me in an aggressive and unprofessional manner, showing a complete lack of respect for customers.

This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable, and I demand immediate action. I expect:

A formal written apology from your management and the staff responsible.
Compensation for the distress and inconvenience caused.
A direct call from your head office or senior management to address this matter—failure to do so will leave me with no choice but to take legal action and report your business for negligence and mistreatment of customers.
I demand an urgent response within 24 hours. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution, I will escalate this matter legally and publicly.

I expect a prompt reply.

I'm at the food court, obviously I didn't expect a gourmet quality dish here. But this was way below my expectations. First they said they don't have tempura udon, but I can order a plain udon and shrimp tempura together. So I did it. The udon was literally just in boiled in water. No flavor at all, that's fine. When I picked up the tempura, the Styrofoam container was melted under every single piece of the shrimp. I'm just speechless. For the sake of my heath, I wouldn't come back nor recommend anyone here.

Great value, due to that it's one of my favorite sushi places to go to. That said, you get what you pay for, but that level suits my taste buds just fine.

Their portions are almost always bigger than I expect, which would be so awesome if they weren't almost always slop ?

I don't know what Japanese food should be like. But I go here after work. And it seems to me that everything should be like this, simple, tasty, healthy food. In general, that's all you need.

You get what you pay for. This is a place to be for cheap food. Very affordable. Too much rice to meat ratio… especially their dynamite rolls and California rolls. Feels like I’m just eating plain rice.
