放豬肉入沙爹牛肉麵Ordered satay beef noodles → got satay pork noodles instead

Went to this HK café with my family last week and ordered a regular satay beef noodle. But when it arrived… it was actually satay pork noodles! 🫢 居然佢地撈豬肉入牛肉入面。

I even spoke with the cook, but they insisted it was “beef” despite the obvious white pork color. Totally unexpected.

If you still decide to go after reading this, good luck with whatever surprises show up in your bowl. I’m sure the kitchen is brave enough to try anything.

Also noticed their 4.1⭐ rating comes from offering discounts for reviews… so, good luck to anyone eating there.

Restaurant near the oval. Parking was underground and a bit small. Restaurant wasn’t busy. Dishes were bit too spicy for Cantonese cuisine. Ordered a crispy noodle curry beef brisket (not pictured) and do not recommend, noodles were tough and curry sauce was too spicy could not even eat. The tomato rice dish was not bad would come back for that one. Overall okay but wouldn’t come again.

We recently visited a Hong Kong-style cafe in Richmond and had a great experience. Sing Cafe Fusion Style offers a fusion of HK-style dishes in a clean and cozy space, with friendly service and convenient underground parking.
We ordered the Bread Set, Fast Set, and Noodle Set — all were delicious and reasonably priced. I especially loved the Milk Tea; it was rich and authentic, just like in Hong Kong.
The boss was really friendly and happily shared all about their food and menu with us.
We’ll definitely be coming back and would recommend this place to others!

Ordered their baked pork chop rice and their red wine beef tongue with rice for takeout.

Received a beef tongue with spaghetti. No biggie. But some pieces of beef tongue were hard as rocks.

Opened up the baked pork chop rice and was met with the worst metal-like smell. We were so freaked out we dumped it. We had a few bites just to confirm, so praying we don’t get food poisoning…

Food good, service so so, ventilation poor, such a new building, poor construction.

Hong Kong style cafe with coffee shop vibe. The chef is creative to put fermented Bean Curd Sauce with Spaghetti that tastes good. Milk tea is great. Will come back 👍

One of the most authentic HK style restaurant in Richmond, food and pricing at follow,
- Deep fried chicken thigh tea set, 15 Cad
- with satay beef noodle + 1 cad
- iced milk tea + coffee (鴛鴦) + 1 cad
Total 17 cad for a afternoon tea set with generous portions of food, highly recommended

My wife and I were in Richmond and was craving for HK style cafe. Wife said reviews were good so we checked it out. Dinner for so much food came to $55!? And the food hit the spot 😋 👌. The chef was a one man team and did everything. He was very good 👍. Definitely recommend it here.

Free 90min parking underground is a bonus.

Was there to give it a try, but glad to have left.

Waited for a few mins and decided to leave because the ventilation is brutal such that it was suffocating from the kitchen cooking. Even though it's a new spot, needs a major overhaul with the ventilation system.

Update: June 2025
Finally took the plunge and gave it a try. The food and service was very typical of 'cha chaan teng'. Cussin was expected, but the constant cussin from the staff and kitchen crew a bit too much 😉, which is not suitable in the open dining room - when children are around.
Don't think I would go for a second time as many more options available in Richmond.

Had their satay beef instant noodle combo. Price is good and taste is comparable to lido. Right under fitness world, so location is 💪👍. Not bad at all, will update in the future after trying other stuff.
