Came here with my parents for dinner. The pork and beef is soft and tender. The addition of the side dishes were good: helps to cleanse pallet after eacb bite. The marinate was a bit on the sweeter/powerful side. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The 3 plates of meat and fish I ordered totaled to be ~130 CAD, which is a bit on the pricey end. 4/5

This place has great friendly staff and the food is authentically korean. It's not overtly salted or sugared but stays true to the original korean taste. I'd come here again if I were ever back in the area.

I had the pleasure of visiting Sura Korean BBQ in Richmond for the first time with my mom, and it was such a delightful experience! We ordered the lunch set menu for two ($25/person) and were genuinely impressed by the variety, presentation, and flavors of every dish.
From the sizzling BBQ meats to the perfectly seasoned side dishes, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The portions were generous, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.
It was a lovely way to spend quality time with my mom, and we both agreed—we’re definitely coming back! Next time, we’re bringing our family friends so they can enjoy it too. If you're looking for a delicious Korean BBQ spot with great value and a cozy atmosphere, Sura Richmond is a must-try!

I used to dine here but tonight I arrived at 7pm. There are several table available with no waiting line. 4 of us are standing at the waiting line for over 5 mins but no one even come and want to serve us. Don’t come if you are expecting some respect.

The food here is good but the service wasn’t the greatest and the wait times leave a lot to be desired. I love the location though!

I love coming here. The food is always great and very hearty. Their Hot Pot is great. The Pajeon and other items I have had were always consistently great. Highly recommend this place if you like more upscale Korean food. I see why it has been Vancouver's No.1 Korean Restaurant.

We’ve been coming to Sura for 10+ years, and have tried most things on their menu. The food has always been exceptional, but our recent trip to the Richmond location was a bit disappointing.

The lunch set for $25 per person is good value, and overall quality of food is good, but sometimes inconsistent. Their kimchi pancake always hits, and of course their kimchi too is incredible! The grilled marinated pork was pretty good this day.

The disappointing part was the gamjatang. I’ve had it in the past, but this time the meat was quite tough and hard, and the soup was a tad bland and didn’t have deep flavour. Hope they can bring back the old quality for this soup, because it’s my favourite!

I used to order the kimchi soup two to three times a week during my workdays—it was my go-to comfort food. But lately, the taste has changed; it’s no longer as spicy or flavorful as it used to be. I’m guessing they either changed the chef or altered the recipe. It’s such a pity to say goodbye to what used to be my favorite kimchi soup spot.

Went for their lunch set. $25 per person, ordered for 2 and added summer item of nangmyeon and hot stone bulgogi bibimbap. Not included in the picture was the pork bellly as same arrived after i took pictures. They offered tea for us adults and the kids got water.

Food were delicious and i enjoyed all the colorful table items.

Unlike some other negative reviews, we received pretty good customer service; maybe we were lucky that night. Overall, every dish we ordered was not bad, and the portion size was large that we couldn’t finish it all. For reference, we did not order any BBQ or meat dishes though. However, the potato pancake was a disappointment. I expected a traditional Korean potato pancake made with grated potatoes, not shredded ones. After trying a few pieces, I started to wonder if the potatoes had been shredded in the kitchen or if they had bought frozen shredded hash browns from a grocery store, because it tasted just like it. It’s just an appetizer but it killed the vibe. I felt like I wasted money on it.
