Sushi Lovers recently increased their prices a lot (some items went up 50%!)Time will tell if this was a good strategy for their business (even if they lose customers it might still be a net profit for them).Food - Nice variety of sashimi and sushi and nigiriService - Take out orders have been 99% accurate.Atmosphere - Poor, but that's not the goal here -- go for take out.Price - Mediocre

Used to like this place a lot and the ingredients seemed fresh. Now everything is cold and refrigerated. Fell off so hard. Tastes worse than grocery store sushi. What happened.

This is a very small and busy restaurant. We had a birthday celebration and their sushi cake was very creative.

The price was fair and the food was okay. At least the food didn’t amaze me. I ordered the sushi lover combo, which was the house special nigiri set. Perhaps my expectation was too high, the food was not astonishing but average. The fish and wagyu were greasy but not unami. They used a rice machine to press the sushi rice so the rice was so dense. My set was 41.50 but most of the other sushi combos were within 20 bucks. The room inside the restaurant was so small that it didn’t even have a washroom and could maximally accommodate 2-3 groups of customers at a time. Overall, the price was indeed attractive but I may not come all the way from Burnaby again just for the food.

I ordered take out and was truly disappointed. I’ve ordered from here before, have never been impressed and really don’t know why I keep coming back but this will surely be my last visit.I placed my order online and received a phone call 15 mins later because they were out of Amaebi from their Deluxe Assorted Sashimi. I was asked to pick something in the same price range and I went with their recommendation of Ika (squid). As per my photos, they ended giving me Octopus which I didn’t want. There was also art of some plastic wrapper or cling wrap left behind the Octopus. The salmon sashimi was still partially frozen. The Hokkigai tip was dry and hard which means it’s been sitting around for a while. They also gave me a chopped scallop roll instead of nigiri, which is not a big deal but it tells you their attention to detail is really lacking.

Sushi Lovers is one of my favorite Sushi restaurants because the foods are delicious and I love the variety even within each dish. The price is very competitive. I get takeaways for my lunch and for work. The waitresses are very friendly.Parking: Two restaurant reserved parking spaces for customers. I have never had problems finding temporary parking in the forecourt car park.

Good relationship cost-benefit, however the wait time is too long because they have a lot of orders.
