Food quality is excellent. Price a bit on the high side though. Friendly staff
4.5🌟 sashimi are all very fresh. Every dish was well presented. The servers were friendly. Saba aburi was exceptional!😋
I won’t be return again!
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant!
I asked for a few dishes that were unavailable, including sea urchin and today’s fresh fish. When I asked the waitress about the “Assorted Sashimi” selection, they couldn’t provide clear information. Additionally, the dish was priced at $95, which felt quite high for the lack of clarity.
To make matters worse, after we finished our meal, the staff began clearing our table even though we hadn’t asked for the bill. They brought the bill directly and bring pos machine for us to pay urged us to leave, even though we had only been there for about 30 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, and the service was extremely rushed and discourteous.
We drove straight from Kelowna to Vancouver without a break, just to make it to the restaurant before their afternoon service ended at 2:30 PM. We arrived at 1:30, and the staff greeted us warmly. One of the servers kindly informed us that the last order was at 2:00 PM, and with her help, our food arrived quickly—perhaps too quickly.
The dishes came out at a pace that rivaled a fast-food joint, leaving little room for us to savor the meal. While the server graciously allowed us to linger for an extra 30 minutes past closing, kindness can only boost the service score—not the food itself.
As for the food, it was underwhelming. The ingredients were mediocre, and the actual presentation fell short of what the menu photos promised. Overall, while the service earned high marks for friendliness, the food would struggle to get more than a 3 out of 5.
I’ve been walking past this place for the past two years, and I’m so glad I finally stopped in to try it!
The food was super tasty, and for the quality, the prices felt really reasonable. The staff were also really friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.
There are a lot of items on the menu, so it did take me a bit to decide, but I actually appreciated that the portions weren’t too big because it meant we could try a bunch of different dishes.
Highlights for me:
• The blue fin sesame tataki — so tender, it honestly felt like it melted in my mouth.
• The cooked beef short ribs — great flavor, and even the daikon that came with it was surprisingly good!
• The aburi toro saba — delicious with really nice attention to detail.
• The unagi don — bigger portion than we expected, but every bite was awesome.
Overall, great experience and I’d definitely come back to try more dishes!
Great food. Courteous service. Great value for the quality food served ❤️
Amazing quality, beautiful atmosphere. Higher price but quality makes up for it. Will be back
very high quality sashimi with great service! they even charged my phone for me!
The uni is great; very fresh and yummy. The dessert is just fine.
I can go on complaining about each dish, but the deal breaker of it all was the not so fresh seaweed on the hand rolls. Isn’t it the most important thing to have crunchy fresh seaweed for sushi? When you bite into it the seaweed just breaks off? I had to pull the seaweed off with my teeth and the whole hand roll came apart eventually.
I felt like that was a huge miss on the restaurant. Can’t be serving sushi with old seaweed….right?

Creamy Uni Udon was absolutely delicious
Over rated. Food was OK but expensive $25 for bento was one of the cheapest things on the menu. Wanted to charge $1 for a take away box, and asked how much change was needed when I paid cash for the bill. Clearly fake/robots increasing this restaurants rating.
The staff can seriously use some training. The waitress messed up our order twice and refused to admit to her mistakes. I think there is a language barrier as her English is really poor. I can barely understand her and based on our messed up orders I’m pretty sure she did not understand us… We were a group of four so naturally there were a lot of plates but the waitress did not take away any empty plates until asked to. Our second round order took over 30mins and while waiting we finished eating and the order still hadn’t arrived, I asked the waitress to cancel and she refused me AGAIN. I finally had enough of this HORRIBLE service and told her the words out of her mouth are cutting her tips. I was ready to speak with a manager.
Horrible experience, would not recommend unless you speak Japanese
The service and presentation were the cherry on top! The food is fresh, but leans towards the smaller side. Expensive but worth it in my opinion :)
