I was here before it closed so I thought I would leave one last review. I'm not sure why it closed, maybe COVID took a toll. I really liked the atmosphere and utensils here. It's a nice gold accent, black and gold aesthetic. The fresh taro balls are chewy and nice with the refreshing grass jelly and cold cream. The brown sugar bubble tea is good too.Parking in plaza. Has a nice vibe to chill and hang out or go on a dessert date after dinner .

We orderedcold brown sugar Grass jelly bowl with several toppings and ham and swiss croissant sandwich combo with milk tea & pearlsMilk tea is usually something that is universally good everywhere but when we first tried it , it was unusually bland it tasted like watered down milk with a hint of dark tea.Still hopeful we tried what we originally came for which was the grass jelly bowl. The bowl was decent but the ratio was unbalanced there was ALOT of crunchy ice it made up most of the bowl it was more of a drink then a dessert bowl. It would have been probably better if the ice was shaved finerthe sandwich was mediocre. It wasnt terrible but we had higher hopes well probably stick to meet fresh or black ball

For 20 dollars, you get two bowls of hard, lumpy ice clumps and very little toppings. They do not have a machine to make shaved ice, the ice is all frozen together.

Food is average in taste. Good plate presentation. Quantities are small; significantly smaller than they appear on the menu. The food preparation time was absolutely horrendous; more than one hour to receive all of our food(after ordering), and close to that for dessert. Spent a total of 3 hours there. The staff did not provide any explanation, were not apologetic, and didn’t come by frequently without prompting. The restaurant wasn’t full, but they seemed overwhelmed. I can’t recommend this place.

I tried this amazing place and I think it needs 5 stars. The staff is amazing and super friendly. Location is nice and bright with very clean amenities - they do have sanitizer on every table! Their Taiwanese menu is great. I had the sampling platter for two with 9 different toppings. Everything is well presented (love their cutlery) and my favourite was definitely their mashed taro, the pearls, the taro and the barley. Also please order the bubble waffle with pearls. It is fresh crispy and still chewy - just perfect. They do have a special cup right now - it is the perfect mixture of a drink and dessert and it looks so good as well (perfect for take out). And I have to mention that they care about dietary needs so they provided everything with soy milk so it is vegan friendly! Highly recommend this place!

Their bubble tea is amazing. It was creamy and very good tasting. The blend of sugar, milk and pearls compliment each other very well. The place is really cozy and super spacious for dine in. The black house cup is $6.15 right now. Come check them out.

Quiet cafe to get some work done. We were the only ones in the whole cafe for two hours on a Monday afternoon. Super spacious with outlets available - great place to do work. Service was very friendly! The menu looked amazing but we were too full to try the taro and sweet potato selections (what they're known for). The drinks (Brown Sugar Fresh Milk with Grass Jelly + Fresh Milk with Grass Jelly) were average and exactly what I expected. I would order them again, but not a craving - definitely coming back to do work and try the other menu items.

Signature Warm Grass Jelly is $11+tax. The toppings on the grass jelly are mashed taro, taro balls, pearls, and red bean. It was definitely tasty and a good level of sweetness but it was not worth it. It is overpriced for the portion size and quantity of toppings was minimal. Not sure if it was because it was for take out.The interior was nice and counter staff were friendly though.
