THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!

Hidden gem in Lansdowne centre mall

This is also connected to the lansdowne skytrain station

The food and service is incredible super friendly and works really hard.

I suggest the super 1 or super 4 if you’re really hungry!

This place is a great location to park and grab a bite to eat average price is also good $12 - $15 after tax for a combo

For me, Taco Luis is the best of Mexican Fast Food. Sure it's in a sometimes crowded Food Court but it has a lot of choices for toppings and the menu itself has an array of choices. It's quick and it's delicious. Some of the other fast food places in the Richmond Langara Centre look interesting too.

Taco Luis is hands down the best spot in the Lansdowne food court. The food is always fresh, tasty, and made fast. I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints!

Google AI said both locations (Oakridge and Lansdowne are closed). It says the Lansdowne location closed in October 2025 (this month) which is clearly false. It's another example of a language model hallucinating.

The only critique I have is their sour cream is more like milk than actual sour cream. Food is always fresh and the tater fries are awesome. I hope the owner decides to re-open at Oakridge in the spring.

Everything in my hard shell beef taco was cold. Ground beef looked like it just came out of the fridge. Couldn't eat the tacos - so bad.

Sometimes you go to a place because it serves you food you remember and loved from your childhood. For me growing up it was hot dogs and crispy Tex Mex Tacos. It always seemed that when I was in Richmond, I would endeavour with a perchance that I could entice my mother into getting me one or the other. Back when Richmond Centre had a theatre outside next to the mall I'd get my hot dog from Orange Julius. But that was then. And why am I talking about Hotdogs? Well, my number two favourite fast food was Tacos, the Tex-Mex kind. Decades later after the Lansdowne mall opened the popped up a wee taco joint in the food court. Whenever I had the chance, I'd go there first to get my crispy tacos. It was affordable and tasty. The way that this location did their taco shells was better than that yee Old El Paso versions you could have at home. I think they actually fry theirs fresh ( meaning Taco Luis). It has been run by this cool Vietnamese dude and I'd see him working with his diligent staff doing what they do, very well. I even saw him on the news about him and his business. Kinda like a feature spot on small businesses doing well and getting recognition for their feats. Because of all of those things above and whenever I'm in this malls foodcourt. I always sneak in those tacos. Funnily enough I haven't had their items offered. It's always those tacos. Amazingly how well childhood memories of this kind of dish gravitates me to want to consume only those and the rest ate simply ignored due to my tunnel vision of crispy delight wanting to be devoured. After that, if I'm still hungry I'll try one of the other vendors. And as usual, meaning to take a foodie pic, I end up eating it before I think of taking the pic. Deciding that meh, just enjoy the flavour experience and memories of a kid begging mother while pulling her pant leg for either a taco or hotdog.

Best Tex-Mex around! The fry up the tots to order and the veggies are always fresh.

I'm pretty sure taco Luis is more than a restaurant, but an establishment

Taco Luis is usually busy at the Lansdowne food court. The Super 4 combo came with a large beef or chicken burrito, medium size tater tots, red salsa, and a fountain drink for $13.65 after tax. The service wasn’t fast but the staff gave a good amount of toppings. I thought their combo tasted better than Taco Bell.
