Very disappointed — not fresh anymore I’ve been a loyal customer of Takeya Sushi for many years, but the quality has gone downhill. The fruit sandwich was definitely not fresh — both the fruit and the bread tasted old, as if it was not made on the same day. The taste clearly showed it was not freshly made.
The sushi was even worse — I had to throw it away after one bite. The rice tasted stale and lacked the flavor it used to have. It’s really sad to see how much the quality has dropped. The owner clearly can’t maintain the standards anymore, and it’s driving long-time customers away.
In short, you don't get what you pay for. Ex: the $18 sashimi is 8 small pieces of fish. Note: it's not the size you think. Each piece is nearly the size of a bottle cap. That small! You don't don't know it until they bring you the order. You can buy more food at other places for $40 than what you will get here for $100. Don't recommend.

5 star foods, I always take the onigiri and rolls out golfing or on the lake. Works so well.
Ordered 12 rolls today and received no wasabi and no ginger. Things that have changed/ need improvement since new location opened: the nori, under seasoned rice. Also found a small bone in my negitoro.
