The food was sweet in general, especially the Pad Thai, very very sweet. Told the server about it being too sweet and she answered next time if you don’t like it being sweet you can ask for less tamarind sauce…

Stopping by for a quick lunch with a friend. The pad thai was pretty good in flavour and texture, but the cashew chicken was so so, too saucy. So we ordered another pad thai to-go half way eating. However, the takeout food was still not ready when we finished the meal and the waitress just kept stalling. We waited for another 15 minutes but we're running out of time so eventually I asked for a refund. Later I realised they didn't give me a full refund. Guessing they charged me for some kind of service fee or whatever. This is an unpleasant experience.

Thai Box in Richmond is a solid go-to for comforting Thai food. The flavours are bold, portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and well-balanced. Service is quick and friendly, making it perfect for both dine-in and takeout. If you’re craving reliable Thai food that hits the spot, this place doesn’t disappoint.

Food was terrible. Roti with curry came out, the roti was full of oil. Ordered a papaya salad, lettuce was old as well as other ingredients. Had the pineapple fried rice, the rice was undercooked and hard. I left without finishing the meal. I am very disappointed. I won't be back.

Tried out Thai Box Restaurant for a weekday dinner. It was freezing inside, even with a space heater nearby. Food came out slowly. No ask for spice levels. Debit or cash only.

- Coconut rice ($4.50)
- Vegetarian spring rolls ($11.98) - skippable
- Panang curry ($22.98) - best dish of the night. Curry was well balanced with a hint of heat
- Pad kee mao pork ($21.98) - serviceable
- Pineapple fried rice ($23.98) - good portion size but unmemorable
- Cashew chicken ($19.98) - standard. Wanted more cashews, way too much raw onions
- Hormok talay ($23.98) - seafood with a thicker curry sauce. Again, an abundance of raw onions

First of all I appreciate the server for serving us with the limited man power. We were told there is only one server and one chef for the night we visited.

We dont mine waiting for our food for 20 minutes but the food is really disappointing. We ordered the pad gra pow which is the most basic dish that all thai restaurants should master. It is beyond edible. It is extremely sweet and the meat is not fresh. It taste like it had gone bad. I would reflect on myself if i was the chef.

We ordered 2 rice. It is dry, hard and yellowish. Probably have been cooked for couple days.

If you dont have man power, maybe consider not opening the store instead of wasting your customers time. I doubt this restaurant would last with the food quality.

I don’t understand why the rating for this place is 4.4 stars. It’s the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. We ordered yellow curry with pork. There is no pork flavor. Potatoes are days old potatoes big cut and they turned a little. The sauce didn’t taste good and it burns going down my stomach. The place is cold and dirty.
