Unless you’re craving $50-a-person fried rice, skip this place. I tried a bit of everything on offer, and most of it was inedible — the potatoes, the “sushi,” pretty much everything in between. Genuinely had to spit some of it out.
The view is nice, I’ll give it that, but the dining room feels more like a hospital cafeteria than a restaurant. Service was hit or miss — most of the staff seemed unsure what was going on, though one server clearly had it together and communicated well. Wish I could remember his name to give credit where it’s due.
Save your money and go elsewhere.

Yesterday was my son's birthday, so we went there specifically. The food was okay, but the service was terrible. I asked for an iced latte, and the male waiter told us to go to Starbucks to buy it—very rude! There was only one short-haired female waitress, who provided excellent service. When I was leaving, I ran into another long-haired waitress who didn't even nod or say thank you. She looked at me with disdain, which was extremely rude. We already paid for the tip.

Very Average buffet for a very premium price.
Went at 10am was met with minimal breakfast options, predominantly lunch set up.
Rude old staff member who just barked “popcorn” at a young child after they used a small popcorn bowl instead of a different one for their fruit.. not that there was any signs to be fair to the kid.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5)
We visited the River Rock Casino buffet with high expectations due to its reputation and the price of approximately $50 per person, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
The positive aspects were the staff, who were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. The view was beautiful, and the dessert section was excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious options.
Unfortunately, the food quality and overall dining experience did not justify the price. Several dishes had an unpleasant odor, and it appeared that some plates had not been properly cleaned, which was very concerning from a hygiene standpoint. The food itself lacked flavor, and there were no basic condiments available on the tables such as salt, pepper, or hot sauce.
The selection was also quite limited. At the carving station, the only meat options available were roast beef and ham. There were no steaks, crab legs, or a wider variety of seafood. The only seafood available was shrimp at the salad bar, served with the shells still on and not cleaned.
The Asian section included sushi, chow mein, fried rice, hot and sour soup, and a few curry-style dishes, but the variety was not particularly impressive for a buffet at this price point.
We also noticed that several drinking glasses were cracked or damaged, causing water and soft drinks to leak onto the table. In addition, the parking area is quite far from the restaurant, making the experience less convenient.
Another disappointment was the ice cream, which was so runny that it resembled a smoothie more than actual ice cream.
One of the most frustrating parts of the experience was that a gratuity was automatically added to our bill without giving us the opportunity to choose the amount ourselves. Tipping should be at the customer’s discretion, and automatically charging it without allowing guests to decide felt inappropriate and unfair.
We brought our concerns to the manager during our visit. While we genuinely appreciated the kindness of the staff and enjoyed the desserts and the view, the buffet felt overpriced and significantly overrated. Based on our experience, we would not return.

The food is overpriced here. Unless you can adjust the price to $25-$30 per person, I will never come back. The food doesn't worth $50 per person at all. Very average food. You better eat elsewhere.
The food wasn't worth the price.
The buffet was excellent. Lots of different choices and fresh and hot!

This buffet falsely advertised lobster and crab on their website photos but when asked the staff said there hasn’t been lobster or crab on the menu in 8 years…
This is blatant false advertising. The food that was available seemed like it was made by a home economics grade 10 student using ingredients all from Gordon food services.
They also have one poor lady working the omelette station and also the carving station with a line up of hungry guests.
Highly recommend to avoid at all costs!!!

One of the worst buffet I ever had, so surprising. Limited food selection, old shrimp, really nothing stands out, the IPA was off, couldn't finish it.

I highly not recommend this place. Food was very stale, not enough staff to up keep. DO NOT be fooled by the photos, majority are from many years ago and not accurate at all. Stay away!

The absolute worst buffet I have ever been to! A completely disappointing experience. For $50 per person, you expect fresh and decent meals, but the food quality here is incredibly poor. Everything tasted unfresh and lacked any real flavor. I cannot recommend this buffet to anyone and will definitely not be returning.

We love to go to river rock casino to have Buffett dinner as every year on Mother’s Day special get together ! We pay what they ask for the price! However this year’s food and services are pretty bad! My kids usually love to eat Macaroni cheese ! But this time they said it was taste like plastic or no taste at all! Sushi kitchen was short on sushi most of the time , foods come from kitchen was not pleasant look let alone to eat! I looked over the kitchen and noticed cooks how and what they were cooking; it was chaos and Messy ! Food is no longer holds its value! Very disappointing! I had to cook for our kids after we got home ! In my opinion issues lays on insufficient management and quality of cooks needs to be reevaluated for good customer experience!
