The food was tasty but it does come served in plastic bags. Kind of wasteful but it does make clean up a breeze and I think they cook the seafood in the bags to save from washing pots. You can get the food seasoned with garlic butter, lemon pepper, Cajun, or Captain’s boil (which is all three seasonings combined). We ordered the crab legs, clams, mussels and shrimp. I would pass on the shrimp next time but the crab, clams and mussels were very good. For the amount that you pay the value is pretty good.Bring your own gloves if you can. The ones they provide are way too large and mine had holes at the end of my dinner. They also provide bibs which is kind of fun. I would feel better if they didn’t waste so much plastic after each meal.A good place for family gatherings and even witnessed a family birthday party. We would come back.

Worst fried rice in Richmond. Paid $200 to see 10 plastic bags on our table. What is this? This seafood place is not worth it, go somewhere

Parking is a bit difficult since there are many restaurants in the area but you'll eventually find one.The place is clean. Though the server was only one person, she was able to handle the 5 tables that were occupied during this lunch time weekend my family and I went. Kudos to her for being efficient and very friendly! 2 ? ?The food is delicious! You eat with your hands and the whole table is everyone's plate! A fun way to eat. And specially the best way to eat seafood! Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked! Will definitely go back! Highly recommend everyone to try this restaurant! Super happy and contented after eating.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access since it's ground floor

Customers beware--read the All You Can Eat information CAREFULLY. In summary, the waiters aren't looking out for you. They're looking out for the business.Their All You Can Eat promotion is posted on their tissue box on the dining table. One side of the tissue box has the picture of shrimp, mussels, and fries and it states "All you can eat! Shrimp, mussels, & fries." The other side of the tissue box has the detailed terms and conditions for participating, and does NOT specify that the all you can eat is ONLY for shrimp, mussels, and fries. My friends and I were introduced to the promotion by a waiter when we sat down. We quickly saw the picture side of the tissue box, but spent most of our time reading the terms and conditions side. To be very fair, we forgot that the AYCE only applies to shrimp, mussels, and fries even though the other side of the tissue box states it. Because we forgot, we ended up ordering lobster and crab, thinking it was a good deal because it's AYCE. But in our defense...before ordering, we CLEARLY told the waiters that we want to do AYCE and we want to pay the AYCE price. The waiters should have realized while we were ordering that there could be a misunderstanding, and we would have appreciated them checking with us whether we want to order the lobster and crab given that it's not applicable for AYCE. But they didn't. Our bill came to $134 PER PERSON and at the end they told us the AYCE only applies to shrimp, mussels, and fries. AYCE price per person is around $45 by the way.I understand that customers have the freedom to order whatever they want and waiters aren't responsible for questioning it. But if we clearly told them that we want to pay the AYCE price, I'd hope for them to have the decency to double check.I recommend that management put on both sides of the tissue box that the AYCE only applies to the shrimp, mussels, and fries. Customers might not read both sides of the tissue box. Alternatively, have each waiter state this fact when customers are about to order. Yes, you'll earn more if customers are negligent but they go home very disappointed and some won't be coming again. My biggest regret is leaving them a tip out of habit, because I think they deserved $0.

If you don’t mind getting your hands dirty, you’ll enjoy this seafood restaurant! The Cajun fries start off tasting good, but had a weird taste near the end. The sauce kind of masks a lot of the flavor of what you order so something to be cautious of.

If you've been to other seafood broils, you'll know what to expect when it comes to the food serving style. However, this is our first time to this restaurant. It was for my daughter's 19th birthday. Drinks were watered down for $14+ each. Menu sets and selections are a bit limited than what we're used to. We did enjoy the food that we got. Only issue is we felt rush ordering and paying. The staff were all about go-go (and we're noy even slow).

I ordered a pound of snow crab and an egg and corn. I got the captain sauce which was bomb but the crab meat seemed like it's old and overcooked. The corn was dry and not juicy. The egg was just a regular hard boiled egg. For the lobster roll, it was good. If you don't like celery, you should ask for less! The service was great. The server kept check up on me to see how the food was.

Our go-to place when we’re craving crawfish. One pound per person is average. Captains boil sauce and Cajun are my favourite, my family had butter garlic and they were great too. This is not a place you bring your first date to, unless she’s adventurous. Be ready to eat with your hands. They provide plastic gloves but it kinda gets in the way of the enjoyment. Wash your hands before and after you eat ?. Oh, they serve beer too! Perfect match!!

Captains Boil waaaay exceded my expectations! Such a fun messy dining adventure!Messy, even naughty, bordering on Surgeon meets Barbariankinda meal. I messily and carefully disected the sweet nuggets of Dungeness crab, savouring every little piece of delicate crab meat. Not for the timid or cheap as this is not a "budget" seafood buffet nor is it a "pretty" meal as u unleash ur inner pirate as u plownder thru a bounty of crab. So satisfying and rewarding harvesting crab with ur fingers and not to worry, scissors, nutcracker, plastic gloves and a ton of napkins r standard issue as u tackle ur tasty treasures of the sea.Attentive service, clean establishment.Note to self: don't wear white and grey here.Js.Get ur pirate on ...I highly recommend the Dungeness crab or the Crayfish!I will so be back!If u love Seafood then do try "The Captains Boil" Richmond.Appy Trails,BrianmFoodieatlarge OU812on Google maps
