The service is non-existant. They ask you for a tip and suddenly turn rude and want to evict you when you decline, while the only payment method is cash. No porridge but soaked rice.

This has been my go-to spot since around 2021, and it’s still my favourite Chinese restaurant in Richmond. If you’re looking for authentic congee pots with real depth of flavour, this place delivers every single time. The ingredients are always fresh, and the umami is top-notch — the kind of flavour you can only get from a place that truly cares about what they serve.

It’s also my ultimate comfort food. Whenever I’m feeling sick or run-down, a bowl here genuinely brings me back to life. I’ve introduced so many friends to this restaurant over the years, and everyone ends up loving it.

The chef is friendly and is highly skilled in making the authentic dishes. His attention to details in each of his dishes is phenomenal. From his braising sauce for his abalone and pork knuckles, to his very well crafted congees, and even his simple vegetables we had were made with traditional crispy pork skin oil, enhancing the vegetables flavor. Will definitely come back again.
