Seeing as you asked...Booked table Tues for Sat at 7....table was in the middle aisle. Not great so we moved to freezing patio far from fire. Even though there were better positioned table becoming available, no one offered them. Service was unremarkable. Calamari was TERRIBLE. Unable to even chew as it was so RUBBERY? Lobster gnocchi was gooie and uninspiring as was beef wellington. We were so excited to visit as there were good reviews. Sorry very dissapointed. Will not come again.

It was a nice find close to our hotel. The food was delicious and the service was great! We'll definitely be going back on our next visit.

This was our first time eating here and we heard great things. They are all true! The menu is fabulous, the food delicious and it's a funky little place. We will definitely come back here.

This was our first time at your restaurant and we were totally impressed. We had made a reservation and were promptly seated at that time. We had an appetizer and a main one of us had the sable fish, while the other had a duck confit pizza. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be coming back soon.

Charming restaurant with industrial chic vibe. Our server was gracious but slow. The food was delicious, I had the linguine carbonate which did not disappoint. I rarely order dessert but was tempted by an offering on their fall menu which was a warm apple pecan bread pudding. It was so good, served with vanilla ice cream. I highly recommend The Story and will return in spite of our slow service.

The food here is exceptional. I highly recommend the fois grad dish. The servers are super friendly and attentive.

Always a great experience here. Food is great. Service is great - attentive enough but not overwhelming. Superb enough of a restaurant for special celebratory meals but also so good that you would want to come here on a more regular basis!

Diverse menu, everyone enjoyed their main meals and appetizers, drinks and desserts. Service was exceptional - our server's name was SHAILYN C and she was amazing. Parking is everywhere and low cost. Bear in mind it's a loud joint. (1 co-ed) Bathroom not the best but serviceable.

A very good experience! The server was friendly and took care of our table with hospitality. The menu is varied and interesting with the menu prices in-line with the venue. A good experience and would definitely be back.

Hubby & I went for dinner as we were staying in the hotel around the corner. As we didn't have a reservation, we had to come back in 45 minutes & got seated at a table outside on the patio which, with a chilly breeze, was a bit cold. The food waiter was excellent. Friendly. Helpful. Courteous. Polite. Hubby had the Steak Bites which he said were quite nice. I had the Homemade Lasagne which was delicious. First time there & we were pleased. Pity we live in Australia otherwise we would be back!

Stopped by twice during our stay in Richmond. First time was 10/10. Great food, great service. Second time the food was still phenomenal however our service was seriously impacted. We waited almost 20 minutes to get our drinks after we were seated. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and showed little interest in our table. He did not offer replacement drinks when clearing. After our appetizers were done we agreed to get mains somewhere else.

The inconsistent service left us unimpressed. We will not be back.
