Overall the taste is good. The wagyu beef aburi sushi was my favorite. Unagi don was mediocre and I wouldn't suggest ordering it. The sashimi tasted great. The miso caramel cheesecake tasted good but was a little too heavy to serve as the last dessert. It would have been preferable if it had been lighter or crunchier because the texture was quite similar to eating a piece of sushi.

We went here for the lunch omakase, and it was a very pleasant experience. Despite arriving late due to traffic, the service remained excellent. The food was fresh, and the pea soup was surprisingly good. The price was reasonable. Highly recommended!

The best omakase experience I’ve had in Vancouver, and for such a reasonable price. Incredible presentation, creative dishes, fresh ingredients. Sit at the bar if you can, the chef is so knowledgeable and friendly!

This was one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever tried in North America. Highly recommend the aburi foie gras or really any of the aburi items. Was surprised to see brussel sprouts but they were excellent. The fish were very fresh and high quality.

We made the reservation a month ahead and the wait was worth it. We had the lunch menu Omakase. There are only 5 seats for the lunch menu so make sure to make your reservation early! The fish was very fresh and delicious, and ambience was nice too.

The food was very fresh and tasty. The chef was friendly and explained every item on the menu clearly, showing a passion for their cuisine. We ordered the premium and essential options, and both were delicious! We will definitely be returning soon.

We booked the tasting menu in advance based on the menu we saw online. Since we order the tasting menu in advance, we didnt bother to read the menu again when we arrived. When the food came we realized the food was different than the online menu. A staff later told us the menu was changed recently and they have made the changes online. Whilst the food and service were great, it would be appreciated if the staff could let us know the change ahead of time and management should make effort to update their site regularly.

I tried premium tasting menu. The food taste good, but there were barely food, for each of the ten courses. I mean the portion size was other worldly small. Expect you are still very hungry after finish the set. The wait time between courses were much longer than what you'd like.

We drived far from Burnaby to try premium testing menu, $120 per person.
The good:
Most of the 10 course dishes taste very good.
Service is attentive.
The bad:
The portion size are tiny XXS.
The waiting time between courses are long XXL.
The good news is that we will not have to drive so far for a restaurant visit again.

Restaurantji Recommends
My 4th time to this restaurant for their tasting menu and I would say it’s still a good value overall. One star deducted from the “slimy” amaebi in sunomono vinegar and the not so presentable temaki. Service was between 3-4 stars this time. Waitress spilled hot tea on our table but did not offer to clean it up nor give us another napkin. Food description was at her max speed just hurry up eat and go feeling.

Had omakase meal with four starters, three nigiri, three singed nigiri, hand roll of eel, and dessert. Starters were attractively plated and quite tasty although the truffle oil on the chawanmushi was overpowering. The sushi was very fresh. The hand roll with was served with a sort of eggy custard brûlée which was a surprisingly nice pairing. Dessert was light and refreshing yuzu ice cream on a hazelnut crumble and calpis flavored gelatin. Overall a very nice meal. The server/hostess was pleasant although her descriptions of the dishes were sometimes perfunctory but she was alone for most of the meal. Restaurant was small (8 2-tops) and sushi bar. A simple quiet space and a very nice meal.
