We had lunch at Tao Lok restaurant, but our experience was disappointing. The beef flat noodles lacked flavor and had tough beef. The fried clams with black bean sauce had a unique flavor, but some contained sand and empty shells. The deep-fried pork intestines were crispy but overpriced. Our total bill was $95, and we won't be returning. We visited based on a recommendation, but the restaurant only accepts cash and debit payments and had poor food quality.

Hidden gem in the neighborhood! The soy chicken was so tender :)
They tried to convince us for their mistakes twice, we ordered a small congee, they gave us a large one, we accepted. They gave us the wrong kind of fish, this time we didn't accept.

From the outside, you wouldn’t be able to tell that this restaurant serves such great food. The wok hei in their stir-fried dishes is among the best I’ve had in Vancouver. The flavors are excellent, the prices are reasonable, and it’s definitely worth coming back.

A gem in a sea of great Chinese restaurants in Richmond. Great place for late night eats. Everything is fantastic. The only issue is a lack of tables, the place is on the smaller size and you often have to wait for seating... Worth the wait. It's across from Ikea.

Solo lunch today, saw there lunch special on a YouTube review, had to come check it out. I tried their dinner menu, it was very good.
This time just ordered the Singapore style (curry) chow fun, very tasty. I did asked for extra eggs.
Service was not bad, good attitude, but just 1 server for lunch, very busy for her, kinda feel bad, but very typical in Chinese restaurants
Decor is very basic, you come here for the food

I feel like i was back to Hong Kong food stall 大排檔,great food and service! Some dishes need to pre-order like fried pigeon and winter melon soup. Speaking of water melon soup, it’s huge! 10 of us can have 4 bowls each! They also offer late night menu.
I particularly like their soya sauce chicken and black pepper fried crab!
Call to make reservation is recommended!

We used to be long-time customers at their previous location, but unfortunately, the quality and value have gone downhill since they moved. The new spot may have cheaper rent and more hidden in the industry area, but the food here is priced far too high for what they’re serving.
The taste is only average, yet the prices are shocking. We ordered three dishes and one congee, and none of us felt full. The congee was watery and seemed diluted just to fill a small soup bowl. The pork knuckle dish was $18 for only four small pieces. The other two dishes were also tiny, with very little food.
For the portion sizes and quality, this place is simply not worth it. Very disappointing, and we will not be returning. Definitely not recommended.

I use to goto Tou Lok years ago when it was on Cambie and Hazelbridge. I never knew they moved and when I found out I was so excited to go. The food is still as delicious as I remembered, **However the service was so bad the one waitress who took our order was so rude, 0 patience and had a horrible annoyance look on the face the second she showedup to take our order. Usually I understand alot of hole in the wall locations are not known for service. That being said there are levels to rudeness and this one was the first I have experienced that I wanted to leave a negative experience. I hope this was a 1 off situation because I use to love coming to Tou Lok with the family as a kid.

This place is busy....I'm glad we called in to book a table and they happen to have one ready for us. Really good 👍 👌. The beef was super soft and the prawns with salted egg was superb. First time here and i have to say i am impressed.
The servers were very friendly and recommended couple dishes that were 😋. Definitely gonna bring the family here in future.
