Showed up at 11AM on a Saturday date and staff asked us to come back at 2PM, so we stuck around for 3 hours. Showing up at 2:05PM, and staff informed us reservations were needed and they were fully booked for the day. Staff then advised us that reservations were needed for weekends. It would've been nice to have been told that at 11AM instead of at 2PM alongside an insincere sounding apology. Would give 0 stars out of 5 if possible, extremely unprofessional and unthoughtful compared to branches I've been to in Japan.

UPDATE: My partner talked me into giving this place another chance for their high tea. It costed $96+tax for 2, and there was a $20 deposit when reserving that you have to pay that they'll deduct from the final bill. I am retaining the 1 star though, because when I left I found a $100 notice from Impark. That really soured the whole experience again.

Great experience!

We went here for their new seasonal high tea and it tasted great. The food and dessert are also pretty good. The items I loved the most were Ikura sushi and Unagi bowl and the cream puff was also amazing!

A good place to spend time with friends in the back room.

The high tea set had a variety of sweet and savoury items. The unagi don was tasty and a generous portion. There was no matcha ice cream like in previous years but the açai bowl made sense and didn’t melt. We were unable to finish the set and brought home the taro cream puff and hojicha basque cheese cake. Service was good and each item was described. The set came with a choice of 3 hot teas. We reserved ahead of time and sat in the tatami room which was comfortable and spacious. The item I liked the least were the ikura and salmon nigiri, it did not wow or seem that fresh. For two people the bill came to around $100, which doesn’t seem overly pricey for high tea.

Went here for the high tea. It was $96 for 2 (+tax). We got the genmaicha for the tea and it tasted great. The food and dessert are also pretty good and totally worth the money spent. We couldn’t finished everything so we took the cake home. The decorations are nice and there’s a separate seat for those who’s getting the high tea with partition which gives a bit more privacy as well.

It was quiet when I went, but the service was quick and friendly, and the cake and matcha float were both delicious. Slightly pricey compared to other places, but I still enjoyed!

Great customer service! Narae and Hailey were so helpful and took their time recommending a drink for me. I appreciate that they greeted me with a smile and that they were very cheerful throughout my visit. The matcha was also great, would definitely recommend! :)

First time being here and was delighted by how awesome the customer service was!! Absolutely impeccable, I came with my friend and we were struggling trying to pick what to get but the worker akane came to our rescue!! She recommended the azuki matcha latte (the hot one) and it was quite the treat!! Definitely recommend checking out this gem😋👍

Wow, didn’t think I’d like this place and got dragged into it with the family.

But wow. One taste and you’re hooked.

Definitely must visit.

I am a matcha fan, and I’m very picky with what I like. Not only was the dessert & cakes I took home great, but the staff members were friendly and made excellent recommendations. I believe the staff working was Luke and Narae. Polite, professional and fast.

Dear Tsujiri Team,

I would like to share regarding a recent experience of mine with my cake order.

I placed an order for a birthday cake a week in advance — initially requesting the O-Matcha shortcake. A few days after placing the order, I visited the Richmond location in person to change it to the Houjicha cake, confirming it would be ready for pickup on Sunday at 3:00 PM. During that visit, I even asked the staff if I would receive a confirmation email regarding the change, and I was told it wasn’t necessary — that it was fine and the change had been noted.

However, when I arrived at the Richmond Location at 4:30 PM — giving more than enough time for the cake to be prepared — I was told the order in your system was still for the original O-Matcha cake. To make matters worse, I witnessed the staff beginning to prepare the Houjicha cake only after I had arrived. I was then made to wait an additional 20 minutes for it to be finished.

Frankly, this experience was incredibly disappointing. The entire point of ordering a cake in advance — and even taking the time to come in and update the order — is to ensure everything is ready and stress-free on the day of the celebration. Your mishandling of the order caused significant delay and made me late for the birthday dinner, taking away from what should have been a joyful and well-planned celebration.

I hope you take this feedback seriously and look into improving your order tracking and communication processes. People place orders in advance for a reason — to avoid exactly this kind of inconvenience and ensure a smooth, stress-free experience on an important day.
