Food is ok but service is way too terrible. Being their client you better speak Cantonese otherwise you might be ignored by the server.

Very busy place in the weekend. They have the best chicken dishes in GVA.

if ur looking for some 鸡/ji then go to wang ji (hahaah get it) CUZ BRO their chicken was PERFECTLY COOKED with the most silky moist succlent texture paired with a flavourful green onion oil making u wanna devour the whole dish in one sitting 4.4/5
yet another delightful dish was their shrimp as it was sweet and fresh with its seasoning complementing its freshness instead of overshadowing it 4/5
next off is their fragrant and perfectly cooked salted egg yolk green peas- that was crunchy but hits u with its fragrance in an instant, flooding ur whole mouth with its beautiful flavour 4/5
however everything else was kinda...
the black pepper beef dish used too much baking soda so it tasted like an unknown meat drowned in an overly salty sauce 2/5
the pepper tofu tasted like plain tofu with non-existent seasoning 1/5
its spareribs were SO sweet that even dessert is less sweet, as if its tryna hide its sourness from the vinegar... its not even edible 0/5
however its steamed fish was real fresh and had that sweetness that only fresh fish have, tho its sauce lacks flavor 3/5

overall 3.5/5

Very disappointed. This was my second (and last) order from this restaurant. The first time, they took my order wrong. This time, I actually found a piece of metal in the food (long beans). Completely unacceptable and unsafe. Poor quality control and careless service—definitely not ordering here again.

Very good traditional Chinese cuisine, clean and cozy inside. Waitress are professional and kind, always check us anything needed and change plates. Food is delivered quickly. Taste is delicious. Many free parking spot outside. Worthy to try.

Wang Ji Restaurant is a hidden gem in Richmond! I absolutely loved their 湛江chicken — super flavorful and tender. Their seafood soup 鱼肚羹was rich and delicious, packed with fresh ingredients. You can really taste the care they put into every dish. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this place to everyone looking for authentic and delicious Chinese food!

The restaurant is quite popular among residents. Reservation is needed to be able to be seated with a party of seven. Since we were seated along the aisle, we were cramped on one side. Food and service was fast.

Pork xiao long bao is undercooked. I vomit so many times after eating it. So so bad! Be careful it could turn a good day into bad.

Tonight, I ordered a takeout dish of stewed seafood with tofu. I only got imitation crab meat, but fortunately it contains actual tofu! Never again order from this restaurant!

Good Chinese food! Lots of choices here. We typically order sweet and sour pork, soy sauce chicken, and broccoli with either beef or seafood (picture has this one).

We also like the fried rice and noodles too.

Plenty of parking in the mall, but you should make a reservation if you plan to come for dinner or on weekends because they can be full.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Wang Ji. After my coworker and I paid at the cashier, we were rudely confronted and chased by one of their staff who accused us of not paying as we were leaving the restaurant. Without double-checking their records, they demanded we return to sort out the issue, causing us significant embarrassment. The staff's unprofessional behavior and lack of courtesy were unacceptable. I won't be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant to others.
