Lots of parking, good service and atmosphere but taste was alright for the most part. I would say hit and miss on what you order. I would recommend their congee

Really enjoy their dim sum each time I've visited. We ordered 12 dishes recently. Their shumai, braised chicken feet and fried shrimp and chive dumplings were excellent. Good portion sizes for all dishes we ordered. They weren't too busy for an afternoon lunch rush on a Thursday. Only had to wait 10 mins. Weekends can get wild with waits and parking.

This place was recommended to us for their dumplings, but they only serve them after 2 pm (fair enough). We decided to go in anyway. The food was good and the place feels very traditional Chinese. However, it took a long time for the food to arrive, especially the rice.

Yue Restaurant is a dependable Cantonese dim sum restaurant in Richmond that focuses on fundamentals rather than trends. The har gow features thin, translucent wrappers with properly folded pleats, and the shrimp filling is crisp and naturally sweet—no excessive starchiness. Siu mai is meaty and well-balanced, with controlled fat and clean seasoning. Steamed pork ribs are flavorful without being mushy, carrying a subtle black bean aroma, while chicken feet are gelatinous and well-braised, glossy without excessive sweetness. The BBQ pork rice roll follows a classic soy profile, and the rice sheet remains soft yet intact. Desserts are equally solid: lava buns flow smoothly with balanced sweetness, and baked BBQ pork pastries show clear flaky layers. This is not a flashy modern dim sum spot, but a place that respects tradition and execution—ideal for family meals or anyone seeking reliable, well-made Cantonese dim sum.

Haven’t come to this place for a long time after a disappointing mid autumn festival dinner few years ago. To my surprise, they are not as busy as before. Not sure if it is because it’s a rainy Sunday night. Pretty decent Chinese food. If you choose standard dishes, price is pretty reasonable especially compared to other similar restaurants. Portion size is good. Like the seafood vermicelli pot. Can smell the good stir fry. Won’t recommend the “peach” pork chop.

Consistently high quality dim sum. Naturally sweetness and freshness from all the seafood items. Prices steadily crept up over the years but that is in step with the inflation times we live in. Will be back.

Service is unfriendly, and the intensity of flavor had decreased only after a few months of eating here previously.

Get here early for less wait! Great dim sum place with some different variety food items that are less conventional. Each item was tasty and flavorful . Staff is efficient, but with volume there is a time limit in seating, which is fine for a small group.
