I just had the absolute worst Paella of my life, and I can't believe how bad it was! Seriously, do the chefs here even know what Paella is? That sad excuse for a dish was a joke.
There was barely any seafood—just some tiny frozen shrimp and scallops that looked like they were thrown in as an afterthought. And the color? What color? It was a pale maybe they thought the dish was Palella, lifeless mess with zero flavor! How on earth does this place have a 4.9 rating? My friends and I thought we were in for a treat since it was packed, but we were dead wrong.
The food was mid at best and ridiculously overpriced! We waited almost an hour for our reserved seats, only to be served this disaster. If you care about your taste buds and your wallet, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. It’s 110% not worth it!

What a great place to eat and drink! One of us was a coeliac, and Donnie’s ensured that not only was there a great choice of food for coeliacs on the menu, but also the quality of the food was amazing, with most things sourced locally. Not only this, but we also enjoyed our best ever ‘Caesar’ - legendary!! If you like Caesars, then make sure you have one when you come here!! Strongly recommend this place for all coeliacs and non coeliacs alike!! Thanks Donnie’s.

Everything was good BUT the paella 😭It was more like a risotto and the chefs seemed like they didn't know what they were doing because we saw them taste test multiple times. It was on us who've decided to order paella at a ski resort... but still, please don't call this paella when it clearly isn't. Please go to Spain and study real paella 🙏🏿 It seemed like it was made from frozen fried rice cooked in some sauce... I mean we can clearly tell that these veggies and seafood are from frozen packets.

The food was absolutely delicious. My husband and I shared the ribs and risotto. We were extremely impressed. Service was extremely friendly. We will definitely be back.
Really great food, well prepared in a cozy environment with a real hard working and social crew. A true ski resort gem where the drinks are top shelf, the food is engaging and well prepared and presented and the staff make you want to stay. If your visiting Rossland, this is a must eat stop in a great ski town location.

For those of you that have lived in and visited mountain towns (particularly in the US) Donnie’s isn’t just “good for a mountain town.” It’s actually excellent. We got the Mexican bowl and gnocchi with a bottle of Bolgheri Merlot. If you even know what that is, the wine list is extensive, well-curated, and well-priced. Friendly service and good vibes to boot. We will be back again and again.
