Went last Saturday and had the fish and chips. I have eaten a lot of fish and chips and theirs (that night) could not have been cod. When I peeled off the coating the fish was the thinest COD I’ve ever seen. It was the thickness of sole, 1/8” maybe.On a good note the BBQ burger my friend ordered was very good.

The place is decent, the food was good and the super Cesar was really unique! Although the service was quite long and I got there at also 6:30pm and stayed there till over an hour later because of how long the service lasted, I don’t know if they’re short staffed or they were way behind on making food for other people cause I did notice a lot of food were left out to serve and that took awhile for one person to serve one another. But nevertheless and despite that it did took awhile for my food being served, it did came out hot and not cold and it was good either way.

We had heard lots of good things about this pub so we decided to drive out on a beautiful Friday afternoon. We ordered the nachos with pulled pork. They were THE worst that we have ever had. The pulled pork was soaked in ordinary BBQ sauce and dumped on top of store bought chips and a few olives and peppers. The cheese was not the right consistency for nachos and …. We waited 45 minutes for this lacklustre meal to boot. The service was also lacklustre and so disappointing…. ?

Not bad but…small town “clicky”. Spent hundreds and tip well. Not steady (depending on who’s working or sitting at the bar) Food? Mediocre. If you return it…your opinion means nothing. I’ll take my $ to the Prairie Inn just down the road. Steady, consistent food, great servings and service. But what do I know?

Update: The food is good, the service is good, the staff are nice, they've changed the music mix to play classic hits, and the coffee is much improved, hot and fresh! Our favorite is the burgers with fries: ohhhh, those fries...!

Great Cajun Salad but my partner had a disappointing chicken burger. Dry and hard also very small chicken patty although the fries are good but nothing special. Service is just okay and vibe of the place is underwhelming.

Love the Waddling Dog! Great staff, good venue, and the owner Brandon is a really nice guy who always goes out of his way to welcome patrons and ensure their experience is exceptional. My favorite pub on the island. 5 stars all around.

I love this place. I don’t live on the island but work has brought me to this general location. And I’ve been quite a few times and the food every time is awesome. The waitresses are awesome and on top of things. It’s a highlight every time I come here. A must!
Really disappointing experience. After being told to sit wherever we liked, it was 10+ minutes before we were offered a menu or greeted at our table. When water finally made it to the table, my wife’s was served in a broken glass. Than can happen and is an honest mistake. We placed our order, and sitting patiently we saw our food come up in the window, and sit, and sit, while we could see our server leaning on the bar scrolling through her phone. Finally after about 6-7 minutes she put her phone back in her pocket and delivered our food. The food was mostly OK but my wife’s salad had a live bug in it. We picked it out and waited patiently for our server to return, but she never did. She wandered around the restaurant. The rest of us finished our meals, and we sat there with dirty dishes and empty beer glasses for what seemed like an eternity. We had planned on having a few drinks but boredom has set in by this point and it was almost comical. A different server must have seen our long faces and pile of dirty plates and came over to clear them. We informed her and showed her the bug which was still alive and kicking in the lettuce. She did take care of that meal off the bill. But overall, it was honestly the worst service I’ve experienced in years. With so many other choices to dine at, I’m not sure this would be worth anyone’s time. Could have been an off day for sure, but we certainly didn’t get the impression standards were very high at all.

Great neighborhood pub! It was my first time checking it out after moving into the area, and hearing a lot about it. Ordered the calamari, and it was absolutely fantastic. Lovely atmosphere, and they also play hockey games and other sports when available.
