Auntie Pesto's

My experience at Auntie Pestos was amazing. We had emailed to get a reservation and as soon as we arrived staff were so friendly. We went on a Sunday night off season and it was busy so reservations probably a good idea.

The food though is the highlight. This is the best meal that comes to memory and I’ll certainly be back every single time I’m on the island.

We started with the Chili Prawns. Best prawn marinade I’ve had.

I got the Alberta Beef tenderloin with blue cheese it was incredible and my wife got the halibut which she also loved!

Stopped by for my parents 50th anniversary this evening.
Surprisingly being a regular on the island for 30 plus years this was our first time here.
Meals were delicious the drinks were amazing but most of all the staff was on top of every thing and made our experience a perfect evening.
We will be back

Some of the best Italian food I have ever had! The outdoor seating area was beautiful, there were a couple propane fireplaces for warmth. On special were Mussels and they were cooked perfectly. Don't normally have 2 appies but the other special was wrapped Brie which was also delicious! Can't wait to go back!

Clearly a favourite spot for locals, as it was absolutely rammed with a queue out the door - reservations are definitely recommended. Service kept going quickly despite the large number of diners, which was impressive. Great food - very fresh and authentic, and generous portions.

Terrible experience. Waitress was rude, food was so so and overpriced. Atmosphere was like feeding time in a retirement village.

First time in Salt Springs. Restaurant was recommended to us. Food was good but poor service spoiled our experience. Had to keep asking for water and why our meal took so long to arrive, while others were being served. When settling the bill, our server, Zoey, took the cash and walked away without an acknowledgment. Unfortunate end to what should have been a better evening.

The food was far too salty, almost inedible but we were very hungry so we ate it anyway. The salad was good though.

Steak is so yum

We went for dinner around 5pm on a Sunday and didn't have a reservation like dummies. They were very nice though and let us sit at the bar to order dinner. They were very busy but kept up with the rush and were quick with our drinks and taking our order. The seasonal greens were excellent, delicately dressed and very fresh. The lamb meatballs were excellent and paired nicely with the curry/sour cream sauce. A table opened up on the patio after we had our apps and they were kind enough to offer it to us to have our entrees. The Chicken Parm was brilliant, and my wife had a beautiful Scallop Carbonara that was also delicious. The only reason the atmosphere took a hit is because it's pretty close quarters outside and the people at the table next to us were noisy and just shitty in general. Oh well, that's anywhere you go any more, especially in a tourist town😜 Wonderful staff, food made with care and originality, definitely recommend!
