I've been a Basil's customer since moving to SSI from Vancouver 3 years ago and was eager to try all the food venues right away. Not much has stayed with me since but Basil's Pizza sure has. Have only ever tried the Margarita as I'm vegetarian but It's got pure ingredients and a very sophisticated, high quality, simplicity. Best pizza on the Island, as far as I'm concerned, and Vancouver, as well. I can't rate Basil's Pizza highly enough.

These pizzas are to die for. Just ask my grandkids or my wife. I trust her judgement. Maybe you should as well? Her judgement is impeccable. One bite and you’ll be hooked. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.Parking: There are usually a number of spots open.

Way over rated. Police state not worth the effort. Stay away!!

Imagine if a police state ran a pizza joint. You'd best call ahead, and that's when you'll be assigned a time to be there. Show-up times are on ten-minute increments, and even then they won't bake your pizza until you arrive. Don't talk to the lady at the counter unless she talks to you, you will only confuse and irritate her. By the way, when I visited in April, you can only get baked pizza once a week, on Fridays. On Saturdays, the ONLY OTHER day of the week they are open, they will only sell you raw pizza. The pizza itself (which I got baked) is only decent. Despite what they might claim, I don't think their pizzas are baked in a hot enough oven.

This is by far the best pizza I have eaten in North America and even in many European countries. I came here like 4 times and this pizza truly deserves the name “artisan pizza”. The crust has a wonderful flavor and texture you hardly find anywhere thanks to the wood stove and the long dough rest for the sourdough. I love that they use organic and/or local ingredients and arranged their patio so beautifully. Will definitely come back next year!

Excellent. I really appreciate their quality. Sourdough crust, local organic ingredients. My family and I are super picky and this place checks all our boxes. Their vegan pizza may sound plain but is packed with flavour. The wood fired oven creates an authentic experience, i love how they modified the food truck. Kudos to Jos and Anna. Gratitude.

We took two frozen pizzas to our rental as we arrived at diner time with our kids. We needed some relaxing time and quick food. Excellent pizzas! Thin crust, top quality ingredients, excellent flavor, everyone devoured them! And ready in 5 minutes once the oven is hot!

Hands the very best pizza on Salt Spring. Wood fired. Thin crust. Delicious. Love that these guys are on the island. Recommend the spicy salami. Sometimes they have a wild boar add on special. Kids love the 3 cheese. We usually put the arugula that comes with the 3 cheese on our pizza since the kids aren't digging on the arugula yet but we love it.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had and I've had some good pizza over the years. This family run business is super quaint. They really know how to take their love for food and turn it into a delicious masterpiece. I always recommend checking out for everybody I know visiting Salt Spring Island.

The hosts at this beautiful pizza place were so kind they gave us (Irish visitors) pizza after hours so we wouldn’t go hungry. Hands down the nicest pizza we’ve ever had, including pizzas in Italy. Absolutely delish!
