Not really sure if the other reviews have bad taste or never learned to cook for themselves but no, the Eggs Benedict is the worst I've ever had. It's not hard to make hollandaise sauce(egg yolks, butter, lemon juice, salt & white pepper, whisked constantly for roughly 10-12min over low heat) from scratch, Dagwood uses packets. The expense of Eggs Benedict comes from the constant attention the sauce requires using a packet for the sauce reduces the overall value of the meal by half. It's just bread & egg with over the counter slime poured on top.

Wow. I am not kidding when i say that I come here at least twice a week for the Veggie Eggs Benny. MMM. I can’t believe dagwoods Isn’t the busiest place ever being one of the only places on salt spring that have all day breakfast, that is not only delicious but very reasonably priced.Yea they could have some music playing instead of silence, but man I just can’t get enough of the Eggs Benny. It’s just so perfect and delicious. The hash browns are crispy on the outside but creamy inside, the eggs are always perfectly cooked, the vegetables are perfect, and the hollandaise is yummy and the perfect amount.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options

This is for LORI M who left a 1 star rating to our sweet, sweet dagwoods....I bet your the kind of self centered narcissist who has 4 cats and makes them listen to how your father never paid attention to you. Your probably responsible for dumb unnecessary things in life like salad at macdonalds, wearing a mask in a car alone and jogging beside a major highway. Take your city car and your city kids and go back to your city life.

Dagwood Diner worthy of its reputation.I had the Westcoast Omelet that was really delicious. My husband had the Eggs Benedict that was cooked to perfection. The first place on Salt Spring Island, that I could get a Drip Decaf coffee when I asked for it.

Hit it ??! Food was quite yummy at a very reasonable price. They have a small patio space for outside and a bunch of seats inside. Looks family run!

What a pleasant surprise! The owner greeted me when I walked in and in her words, "she prepares everything from the heart." The breakfast sandwich and espresso were amazing. I'll be back!

It indeed was where the locals ate. Super friendly though to tourists as well. The philly cheese steak was fantastic and my party liked their respective dishes as well.. closed on Thursdays for now so unfortunately was unable to come again but will definitely be on our map the next time we are here! Generous portions and reasonable prices.
