We came from Victoria to visit Salt Spring Island, and some of our friends recommended Francis Bread. Guess what? This bakery is absolutely fantastic — everything here is incredibly delicious.
We tried a breakfast bun and a grab-and-go carrot sandwich, and I honestly can’t even describe it with words. Everyone has to try it!

The breakfast bun was delicious! And the perfect size. The saucisson is great value too, but I haven’t eaten it yet. The chocolate hazelnut croissant was also delicious! Great quality and execution here. Highly recommend.

Wonderful bakery on Salt Spring Island. There was a lineup out the door on a Thursday for good reason: their pastries and bread are amazing! Excellent flavour combinations, not overwhelmingly sweet, and so fresh and tender. The cardamom knot was perfection. Can’t wait to go back for a breakfast sandwich!

We’ve been hearing about this place and finally made it. So worth the wait. No future visit to Saltspring without a stop here.
although there wasn’t a lot of seating, the ambience is quite nice and love all the decorations. the sweets and savoury breakfast sandwich are insanely good. love the apple crumble and danish.
