The only other time I had Okonomiyaki this good was in Hiroshima. I have no idea how Kodama ended up here other than pure magic.
Also he usually has Tatsuro Yamashita playing which just elevates the whole thing even further.

I ordered the Hiroshima okonomiyaki, and it tasted pretty similar to the one I had when I visited Kyoto. A lot of places in Canada just serve frozen stuff that’s not the real deal, but here I could actually watch them make it fresh by hand, which made it so much more satisfying.

Tried to come here twice at 5:35pm, but both times the stall was closed. Super disappointed because the food looks amazing.
Wow! If you’re looking for legit okonomiyaki then this is the spot! Great quality and with a view. We are the food too quickly so it didn’t make the shot! Awesome service and delicious food. Give this place a try. You won’t regret it.

Truly an amazing experience of food and mood. I’ve travelled throughout Japan and experienced all kinds of cuisine - and am so happy Salt Spring Island has such an authentic experience like this. The food is made with love and talent. The food truck is located on such a beautiful food truck park - that feels straight out of a movie.
I live in Victoria where 90% of Japanese restaurants are not authentic. What you get here is what you would come to love and experience in Japan by a chef who is passionate to share culinary expression of food.
If you are in Salt Spring, you have to try it. Please enjoy the true art of a Japanese Food Truck.
When the food is this good, you don’t have time to take photos of the food because you are enjoying it too much.

Delicious okonomiyaki, freshly cooked in front of you. I had the veggie version, and it tasted great.
You can follow in the order form and submit it. You can sit in the food truck area.

Great food and very kind. Best oko I’ve ever had! My partner is a big fan of this place so naturally we had to take the kids to salt spring to have some. We were not disappointed and both the kids got a free juice box :)
thanks again!

It was a wonderful discovery! The flavors were outstanding, and everything we tried was delicious. We had the Osaka and Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki with noodles, and both were fantastic! The owner is very friendly, even with minimal English, and the ordering process is simple – just fill out a form at the stand. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, making it a great spot to enjoy authentic Japanese food. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and a unique experience!
