I ordered the Shepherd’s Pie. It was covered in cheese as opposed to mashed potatoes. There was no mention of this on the menu. I do not like cheese on my Shepard’s Pie. I like potatoes. If they wanted to put cheese on my Shepard’s Pie they should have called it Shepard’s Ravioli. I mentioned my cheeses concern to our server whose only concern was that I did not know what the name of the cheeses was. He enlightened me. I was very grateful for his service. Don’t miss this gem if you’re in Salt Spring- food was incredible and the service was top notch. No kids menu but it’s not necessary - our kids (ages 12 and 6) loved it all- which is rare. The smoked trout and cauliflower soup were outstanding. All of our main dishes were delicious and perfectly prepared. Loved it and hope to be back soon.
