Mateada Lounge

We saw the Jim Black Trio here in late September. It was a great show. We came early to get a bite, but not a lot of veggie options (vegetarian lasagna was not available that day), so we had a drink and came back after. Service was good and friendly, ambience was lovely, the show was great. The crowd was enthusiastic and respectful. Washroom was clean. The decor is nice as well. We will visit again next time we're on Salt Spring.

Absolutely stunning contemporary venue with efficient service. Their drink menu is great for variety if you are a connoisseur of balanced delicately flavoured craft cocktails and mock tails.Highly recommended by some local friends and it does not disappoint!

Cool "island vibes" chill out place and great unique matte cocktails from the House of Bucci to my empress gin Martini. MATEADA is the house of featured local artists,so come see them live ,dance and enjoy delicious food too! Must try: marinated chicken slider ...the bomb!

I ended up here by myself for a live music night. Richard Garvey and his partner Hazel were playing and it was such an experience ? everyone at the bar is so nice and welcoming. Special shout out to Janna the sweet manager and Cory the Cocktail god making cocktails on demand ?

We had a great time, loved the live music and the people are friendly and welcoming. I want to move to Salt Spring now!!!

“A legitimate experience” my husband says after visiting the Mateada. Meticulously designed with local artisans. World class cocktails. And fun and entertaining live music! We enjoyed it so much on Friday night that we went back again on Saturday. You have to go here!

Absolutely beautiful interior. Staff are friendly and alert, and food is served promptly. Acai bowls are delicious. Don't know what's up with all the yerba mate on the island, but Mateada has a unique take on it in the form of a Latte, among other things.

What a gem! Love the ambience of this place and all the decor. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the service was great.My husband and I could not decide between the Nitro Mate flight and Kombucha flight, so the waitress offered to do a fusion of the two, which was the best of both worlds as we got to try both. The food was very good as well. Fresh and full of flavours. We will definitely visit this place again. If you are visiting Salt Spring Island, this place pretty much sums up the whole vibe of SSI. Highly recommended for a visit!

Really cool place to visit if you want drinks (non-alcoholic). Was told that the parent company makes the yerba mate can drinks. Not sure about their food--it's more of a snack place.
