Sad. This used to be my favourite place to eat when I visit Salt Spring. I don’t know what happened, but the menu is sparse, unimpressive and lacking in creativity. When the food arrived, it seemed like it was mostly food-service. In addition, the tasting flights are now 2oz pours instead of 4oz.
Don’t think I need to go back here for a long while, unless something changes drastically. There are a couple of newer options in island that are far better, and so while the culinary competition has gotten stiffer in island, the menu here has gone significantly downhill. Still is the nicest atmosphere on the island though, so it’s got that going for it at least.

We found the menu to be limited. We are not fussy eaters but found it hard to find something we liked. When we did make a choice (mac and cheeze), it was not available. The prices seemed expensive. I had the strawberry rhubarb cider and it was delicious.

We were gifted a $200 gift card, but the Cidery didn't honor it. We're still unclear as to why. Two employees stood at the machine doing their thing but ended up shrugging their shoulders and telling us we had to pay out of pocket. No solution or compromise. So our friends' $200 was more of a gift to the Cidery.

Beautiful venue though there was an event happening when I went and it was very loud, hard to have a conversation. Enjoyed the cider flight. The service was good. The appetizers, tuna tataki and deep fried squash were good. The main rib special, the 3 of us each ordered, at $44 each was unfortunately inedible. The gravy was extremely salty and meat was full of fat and grissel. Not one succulent tender bite. For that price we had to send it back. They were very gracious and did not charge for the main. I will go back to give it another try because I have heard such good things. Hope it was just a one off.

A nice outdoor atmosphere but the portions and quality of food is not worth the high price.
The staff were nice but not well trained other then one older gentleman server.

An order of mine was initially missed which happens but then as I waited at the counter for it to go a young kitchen staff, who could have talked to the cook through the open door a few feet away, instead pressed himself into the small food serving window to the kitchen breathing and talking inches from my open food. After a largly spinch leaf salad with minimal ingrediants they call a Squash Salad for $22. And a skimpy 1/4 filled box of over priced fries I left behind after they kitchen staffed breather all over my fries with no awareness for food safety and knowone around to reimburse me the 7.00.
29.00 for mostly Spinch.
Not happy.

I love this place and will surely be back! It's wonderful to have options on where you want to drink and dine. We chose the outdoor setting with picnic tables and an awesome view, since it was a beautiful sunny day. We ordered the full flight, risotto, calamari, spicy korean chicken, green curry clams and a salad. The green curry clams was our favourite! I had a fantastic birthday lunch experience!!!

Went to have a dinner with my fiancee, cider was good. But, when food came, we had both of us the risotto, which was way tasteless and cold, felt like plain rice and zucchini . We asked to change the plates for a bacon & cheese tart, they said it was supposed to be cold, but the taste was so crazily weird. Never had a dinner so bad

We wanted dog friendly experiences while visiting Saltspring. The Cider House allowed doggies! Not only were the many flavours of cider fabulous, but the food was delicious as well. Recommended!

Lovely restaurant featuring farm-fresh, local food that’s absolutely delicious. The portions are generous, and the menu is very inclusive of all diets. The hummus with carrots is a standout, and the bread from Francis Bread is excellent. The ciders are great too—I preferred the modern flight over the traditional. We booked a table since there were six of us on a long weekend at 5:30, but it turns out we could have just walked in

Food was delicious especially the fries and olives. Everything was reasonably priced. We sat outside on the picnic tables overlooking the apple orchard and it was fantastic!
