Wonderful ambience. Friendly staff.
Food needs works. Breakfast bagel had processed cheese. Burrito eggs were chalky and just….odd.
Start with real ingredients then might get something worth coming back for. Especially on an island with such abundance.
Disappointing and befuddling.
Kid-friendliness: They had markers so you could draw. This was fun.

Last cappuccino I ordered was so bad I threw it out - probably only the 3rd time I have ever done that ever. I have been a loyal customer for years and have always loved the coffee here. There was a change of ownership and after the coffee and food got better but then suddenly - as of late October it went to crap. No idea why but just a complete disaster. The coffee reeked of perfume (maybe the barista had it all over her hands?) but the actual quality of the drink was just terrible - overheated milk, bad espresso, I am just baffled why it was so bad. It was the second bad drink in two days. I drank the first (it was really poor) and just could not stand the scent and taste of the 2nd. I must have ordered 80 drinks from here over the years and spend nearly $1000 here with food and multiple drink orders but WTF happened?

Excellent cafe in Salt Spring. I had a macchiato and the Quesadilla. Both were great. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The truck makes delicious dishes, including different types of tacos. Nice location as well, pretty quiet, away from the main street.

I visited this cute little café multiple times during my visit in Salt Spring!!! The café was amazing and the Mexican food was delicious!!! I am Mexican and read comments about the food not been authentic!! From a Mexican living in Canada, I can testify is the real stuff!!! The staff has always a smile on their face! I had chilaquiles, which were delicious but the pork quesadillas were my absolute favourite!!! The ambiance was relax and friendly! I work remote and it was the perfect spot for getting some work done in a cool environment!!! Bythe way, all the coffee variations I tried were delicious!

Not the great place it used to be under the previous ownership. There were two people working today - one whom I believe to be the owner. No greeting, no eye contact, no smile whatsoever. I could barely hear any words from the cashier other than the price I owed, which I read from the machine. My coffee was put on the counter without anything said either. It just doesn’t feel like the friendly island culture that we all love is in there at all. I think that any charm that still exists inside is purely a ghost of ownership past. I never leave reviews but today I was compelled. I won’t be going back.

Cute spot in an old heritage building, which I love—Salt Spring does a great job preserving its buildings character. The vibe here is cool, but the matcha was average. They only had oat milk instead of coconut milk, and the quality of the matcha wasn't great, so it didn’t have much flavor and was quite bitter. My drink tasted more like oat milk than anything else.
The server also over-poured my drink, causing it to spill, so I couldn’t put a lid on. When I asked if they could pour some out, they let me, but then ended up pouring away a large portion of my drink, which was a bit frustrating. Not the end of the world, as it was already a pretty big drink.

Switchboard Cafe makes a fantastic coffee! Like, seriously good!
We enjoyed sitting in the patio area out front. The cafe is nestled off the busy main road so it’s really relaxing and quiet sitting between the gardens. Seating is comfortable. Nice little selection of cafe cabinet food, or you can got burritos/bagels from the kitchen. I recommend the cinnamon bun, it’s like a traditional cinnamon bun and a croissant had a love child. A great coffee stop in Ganges.

I ordered Veggie Burrito. Zero beans in it. Only Veggies and rice. I would expect standard burrito for 15 dollar
My friend ordered fish and chips for 19 dollar. He got one small fish and rest french fries. It was lol ?.
Never come there for food. Coffee we didn't try.

The chilaquiles and egg breakfast was nasty! The nachos were floating in Enchilada sauce (it was supposed to be salsa). A sloppy mess. No taste and gross. We bought cookies for $3 each because they looked good? No taste. Too costly for what you get.?

Mexican menu needs a new chef.
Our Mexican food was bland. Not authentic at all. Serving size compared to the prices was a joke. I was not even looking for a huge meal but the taco plate had nothing on it. 2 bites and the rice and beans were gone. Breakfast burrito super bland by any cooking standard. Whoever is running this you need an overhaul on your Mexican food skills. So bad. Had 5 of the Mexican menu items. No one liked their food. Take the Mexican food off the menu.
