OMG this pizza was amazing! Locals were lined up for slots to get pizza to-go and I totally understand why! Thin crust, great toppings, I love a blue cheese on my pizza, and my dining companions margarita looked super yummy as well! The staff were doing a well orchestrated dance as they calmly seemed to be everywhere all at once- and you can taste why everyone truly loves a piece of this very tasty pizza!

VERY small portions for price. Artisan pizza is an understatement. Barely any ingredients on the pizza and the sourdough crust is disappointing. Left hungry and poor.

We ordered 2 pizzas Margherita and Wise Guy, both were very flavorful and delicious! The tomato sauce for Margherita was perfect, right balance of tartness and sweetness of tomatoes, one of the top Margherita's I've eaten. Wise guy also very tasty sausage, caramelized onions cant go wrong. When visiting Salt Spring Islands, atleast one meal at True Love pizza is a must!! Also very friendly service!!😁🍕

This is the *only* place I will buy pizza on Salt Spring Island, because I prefer a THIN crust with good ingredients, whether that's just cheese or with added toppings (pepperoni, vegetables, etc.). Compared with the more well-established pasta/pizza storefront right by the gas station, True Love provides truly delicious pizza. If you like the pizzas in Italy -- VERY THICK CRUST so you're eating mostly cooked bread dough, and rather THIN toppings -- you might prefer the more established Pasta Fresca nearby -- but if you prefer THIN crust, and (now that the shop has been open for several weeks) long lines to make your order if you are in a hurry or arrive on a school day at lunch-time, True Love is the BEST. Grab a slice and find a seat outside either right by the shop, or if the tables are full, nearby anywhere along the waterfront where there's a place to sit down.

My family and I visited TRUE LOVE PIZZA. The staff was very polite and friendly — we truly appreciated that. However, unfortunately, the experience with the food itself was disappointing.
The pizza we ordered was extremely overcooked — almost burnt black. It was clearly prepared unprofessionally. Any trained cook should have immediately seen that it was not acceptable to serve. Despite this, no one apologized or even acknowledged the issue.
This left a very negative impression. I am giving one star. I hope the owner reads this review and takes it seriously.
Don’t be afraid to check your pizza right away — customers deserve quality service.
I feel the need to respond, as I noticed that you give almost the same generic reply to every customer — even those who leave negative reviews.
Saying that the customer should have spoken up is not a valid excuse. A professional pizzaiolo should immediately notice when a pizza is overcooked or ruined and should never serve it to a customer. Food that is clearly unfit for consumption should not make it to the table in the first place — that’s a matter of quality and respect.
Additionally, during our visit, I observed unsanitary practices — one of the kitchen staff was wiping their hands on their pants, which is completely unacceptable in a food establishment.
I’m leaving this update not out of anger, but to help others be more cautious when choosing this place. I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously.
Thank you for understanding.

Cute outdoor patio to enjoy traditional Italian pizza (thin crust)— with high quality ingredients. We loved the margarita with olives!

Great pizza place on the Island! One of the best places to eat and it was among the best pizza places I've ever been to, and pizza is my favorite food. We went there multiple times during our stay at the island.

Pizza was ok at best. It was greasy, and lacked toppings. The hot mama we ordered didn’t have a speck of basil, had very few pineapples and the crust was so thin and greasy we couldn’t even hold on to it without the few toppings it did have without sliding off. For $30 for 12” we won’t be back.
Staff was very pleasant!
