This cafe is owned & operated by a lovely, local family and the vibe was perfect. Came in because of the raven carving (by local artist, Steve Stevenson) & so 😀 we did!
Great coffee & muffins (tip: the day-old baked goods, warmed up, are just as good as fresh). I also tried the rhubarb bar but prefer a higher filling-to-oat layer ratio. Went back the next day to grab pastries and a sandwich for the ferry journey home. Great selection includes cookies, whole loaves of bread (organic sourdough 😋), cinnamon rolls, pastries, muffins, scones, pies, desserts, tarts, breakfast croissants...
Self-serve water station.
Walking distance to the park & pier.
Indoor & outdoor seating.
Limited outlet access for charging devices.

We stopped in just to grab a quick bite to go as we were heading to the ferry. The food was very good. Had a great service and good recommendations. Would highly recommend this place. The flat white was amazing. Thank you.

I’ve been coming here most of the summer in the mornings to get breakfast before starting work, but unfortunately, my order is often wrong and I’m given the wrong type of muffin or sandwich, or a drink is iced instead of hot. It’s just a bit unfortunate. But when the orders are correct, and staff are attentive, it can be a nice and quick experience.

We ordered 5 ham and cheese croissants, and they were okay, nothing special. The matcha latte with oat milk did not taste good; you can tell by the color of the matcha, it wasn't a vibrant bright green and tasted like how fake butter on popcorn tastes. The cafe latte espresso didn't taste very fresh unfortunately. My dad enjoyed his plain coffee however. Would not recommend this place.

It was my first time here and the café looked promising since it was busy and had a cozy vibe. I ordered the iced lavender oat matcha, but it was very bland. the matcha and lavender flavors were barely noticeable and it mostly just tasted like milk, which was disappointing. I also tried the chocolate chunk cookie, but it was too salty for my taste and seemed underbaked in both texture and flavor. My friends also ordered the banana latte and iced lavender matcha and felt the same disappointment with their drinks. Overall, we left underwhelmed and probably wouldn’t order these items again.

I'm from Portland, OR. We are very spoiled with our delicious coffee and food and this place would give any coffee house a run for it's money. Highly recommend the salted honey latte and all of the breakfast food and baked goods we had were SCRUMPTIOUS!

I recently visited this café with my sister. I unfortunately experienced something that left me feeling uncomfortable and disappointed.
I live with hearing loss — an invisible disability — and didn’t hear when the counter staff greeted me. My sister was ahead of me placing her order, and while I was focused on the menu, I noticed two staff members snickering and looking in my direction. My sister later confirmed they had made a comment about me, then deliberately ignored me and moved on to assist the customers behind me.
It was upsetting, not just because of the moment itself, but because it reflects a lack of compassion and understanding — especially in a busy café setting, where staff encounter all kinds of people every day. Not all disabilities are visible. A bit of empathy and patience goes a long way, especially in customer service roles.
I hope the management takes this as an opportunity to remind staff of the importance of inclusivity and kindness. I took a photo of the two staff members involved in this interaction.
