Erin was our server and was absolutely lovely such a kind gal! garlic white wine prawns were fab as were the cocktails,, we both enjoyed them lots! would definitely recommend!

We will definitely be giving this place a miss on our next visit to the Sunshine Coast. Our experience started as we were being led by the server into what seemed to be the middle of the restaurant when one of our party simply requested seating beside the windows overlooking the parking lot. This shouldn’t have been a huge ask considering the fact that the restaurant was empty at the time. But the server didn’t even wait to hear the explanation for the request (to keep an eye on their dog sitting in their car) and instead rudely cut the person off and snapped ‘I’m just getting the tables together’. Unfortunately we decided to stay after this weird outburst and things didn’t improve from there. I must say that 2 of our party of 5 (who weren’t aware of the servers’ behaviour) said afterwards they’d enjoyed their meals. But 3 of us who ordered the falafel burgers were very disappointed. And as if the server realized after her initial rudeness that she’d overstepped the mark she spent the rest of our stay being overly sweet, no doubt concerned about the tip she’d receive from us. When she asked how everything was tasting halfway through the meal one of our party mentioned that the falafel was very lacking in seasoning and flavour (it actually tasted like cardboard) and that she might want to mention this to the kitchen staff. When she was asked if the falafel was made on-site she said she didn’t know which seemed to me a strange response. Honesty would’ve been appreciated here. So overall a very disappointing meal served by a less than friendly server.

Decent view, good service, atmosphere is nice. My issue is the food. I ordered Gluten Free fish and chips. I want them to be tasty and have a nice crunchy batter. This wasn't that, and was over priced for the quality. I have had really flavourful and texturally pleasing gluten free fish and chips before and I want nothing less.

The coleslaw seemed funky and stale, the cocktails tasted bizarre, the service was abysmal, and still they feel entitled to 25% gratuity? We went after looking at recommendations so ensuring lesser folks get duped, recommend to try food at local breweries/cideries instead. Do not recommend.

Very disappointing. We have eaten at Wobbly Canoe many times in the past, and been quite happy with the quality of the food. It’s definitely been a while, but we were looking forward to lunch there today. It was extremely disappointing to say the least. Caesar salad is not hard to do well, but it was not fresh, looked and tasted awful. Fish and chips- batter was actually hard, fish was tasteless, coleslaw had obviously been sitting around for quite a while. Falafel must have been reheated from days ago, it was hard and also tasteless. What a bad experience, will not be going back!

We visited the Wobbly Canoe twice during a recent trip to the area. We were greeted promptly each time; the staff were friendly, and the restaurant had a great vibe/energy. Fantastic location; the view of Davis Bay is amazing! Food was delicious - we had fish and chips and a brisket french dip sandwich, with lemon tart and vanilla crème brûlée for dessert. Small place, so may be busy depending on when you go. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
Parking: They have a decent sized parking lot right next to the building.

This place is great, I wish it was in Nanaimo. I took my boat over to Sechelt for a poutine as a summer bucket list thing and I was thrilled. Fantastic staff, great food, and a really cool place to be. I'll be back for sure ?
