If I could give zero stars, I would.

Dear “general” store, maybe you should generally figure out what your hours actually are. I’m not a psychic—I shouldn’t need a crystal ball and a séance to guess when you’re open. Your sign says one thing, your Google says another, and your locked doors say “surprise!”

I’ve shown up three times this week during your alleged business hours. Each time? Nothing. Lights off, doors locked, not a soul in sight. I even knocked once—nothing but the sound of my own disappointment echoing back.

If you’re going to be a ghost town, at least be honest about it. Change your sign to “Open randomly if we feel like it” and I’ll stop wasting gas and hope.

The extreme markup doesn’t include a bag even when you spend $30? Wild. It does cover being rudely told to buy a bag next time though.

Definitely pricier here than a lot of convenience stores but they are open until 11 pm and it’s within walking distance of my house so they have been life savers for a long time for me

Lady working didn’t allow my pregnant wife use there washroom during an emergency and was a massive b word I hope people stop using this establishment. Be better

The store employees here have paid for my stuff when I dont have enough or if I lost all my money. They are very kinda people. I love this store I REALLY recommend it

Please explain why this is the price?There should be a law. I do understand there should be a mark up for being a convenience store but this.... Really. Anyone care to explain.

Over priced, even for a "convenience store" both stores in Shawnigan are.

Wow. Paying double for a frozen pizza. I need to own a convenience store. You can get a fully cooked one down the street for that price. Well I guess that is why they call it a convenience store. We are conveniently paying for a extreme mark up.

Just an amazing family owned business. It’s a quaint and welcoming store. Perfect for a the neighbourhood. Has everything you need for a concise rant store. I remember going Masons when I was two years old and would rent VHS tapes. It’s nostalgic moving back up island as an adult and having those memories. It’s great to see the family run business still running successfully!

A local classic loved by kids and adults for a winning formula. Extensive junk food and treats selection with a scattering of necessities such as bread, milk, eggs, canned goods and toiletry supplies. Friendly staff.

Good in store bakery and everything you could need in a pinch. Bit expensive but save you from going into town for stuff. Saves the gas. Cashiers very friendly.

Staff is always friendly and they have the most amazing fresh baked bread.
