Had dinner at the Pier the other night and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the good service.
Clams and mussels were very good.
Father-in-law said his oysters were 5 out of 5. Calamari squid appetizers were excellent too.
Servers were prompt and pleasant.
Would definitely recommend to others and dine there again myself.

Located in a prime spot next to Sydney Harbour, 10 Acres at The Pier offers a cozy atmosphere with waterfront views. It's an ideal place to enjoy a meal in a relaxing setting, perfect for couples.
As for the cocktails, while the menu offers variety, the drinks could use a little more magic to surprise the palate. The average price of cocktails is $13 CAD + tax, which is reasonable, but it would be nice if they offered special promotions or a happy hour.
As for the food, the dishes are average and well presented, although the price-to-size ratio leaves a little to be desired. If you have a hearty appetite, you may need to order more than one dish.
The service is attentive and friendly, which complements the experience positively.
Overall, 10 Acres at The Pier is a good choice if you're looking for a place with a pleasant atmosphere and good service, although with some adjustments to the portions and drinks, the experience could be even better.

Great atmosphere, awesome service, fresh seafood and white wine deals š
After being seated we waited 30 minutes for someone to take our order, then just ended up leaving when no one did. Wasn't that busy - a mid week dinner. They *seemed* to have enough staff who were just kind of standing around, but maybe there was some special problem. ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ
Just know that you might end up sitting drinking your water for a LONG time.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. It took a FULL hour from the time we ordered until we received our food, which seems quite long . When the food finally arrived, the chicken strips were cold and mostly just breading, with very little chicken inside. As for my farm omelette, it was lacking key ingredientsāthere was no spinach at all and there were barely any of the other veggies or cheese. we werenāt checked on at all by the staff during our meal. the food was overpriced and an overall frustrating experience, and I wonāt be returning.

Worst Christmas take away dinner we have ever had. The vegetables and the stuffing were inedible. Even the cranberry sauce was bad. And the presentation was dismal. So disappointing considering we had a superb lunch at the Commons December 20th. Hard to believe these 2 restaurants are related!
Didnāt even get to try as the hostess informed us as soon as we walked in āwe donāt allow strollersā. Not impressed they would have had a table of 3. Funny they allow people to smoke right out front the door and not say anything to the smokers but quick NO to strollers coming.
Thought the food was decent if a little expensive. Nice atmosphere and service was good.

We were looking forward to Christmas dinner at 10 acres in Sidney and booked well in advance. We imagined a quiet somewhat elegant environment with excellent food and service. We reviewed the Christmas menu and it seemed to promise what we were looking for. Having arrived on time we were told that it would be 20 minutes till we could be seated and we could wait at the bar or in the hotel lobby. We chose the bar where we were the only ones seated aside from a 50 year old man obviously working to pick up the young bartender. Rather than make any eye contact with us for 5 minutes we sat and watched her pocket his business card and finally take our drink order. I ordered house white which I am quite sure was watered down. My husband ordered a non- alcohol beer , was told they didnāt offer any- only for us to see it on the menu later. After 20 minutes we asked the hostess how long it would be and it was obvious weād been forgotten. I could go on for quite awhile about the rest of the evening: large TV screens showing sports channels, loud pub atmosphere, awful food- dried up white meat turkey, shredded over-salty dark meat, a single piece of vegetable (parsnip) smothered in gluey gravy and a block of dense stuffing obviously baked some time ago. I have had many many restaurant meals around the world and both my husband and I agreed that this was the worst ever. We will never return to this restaurant.

I included the picture because one of my biggest issues with my experience was that to get fries on their own, it cost $9.95⦠for a teeny tiny bowl⦠$9.95?! The other issue we had was they have no kids menu. So all the kid friendly items are overly expensive and thereās no option for a kids portion at a lesser price. (Even though they have overpriced chicken tenders, pizzas, fries on the menu) Overall not a very child friendly place. Despite being one of maybe 8 parties in the entire restaurant, we didnāt find that the service was great. The pizza we ordered was good, which is what earned the 4 stars. Great view of the waterfront is what earned the 3 atmosphere stars.
Kid-friendliness: No kids menu. Small portions and overpriced. No accommodating to children.

The food was subpar for the cost. I would expect better more local ingredients and farm fresh being 10 acres.

The presentation was lacklustre to say the least. Took one bite and sent it back. Without a doubt the worst tuna roll I've ever tasted. Not sure what was mushed up and rolled in that rice but I don't think it was tuna. Such a beautiful location, so disappointing.
