Our new favourite restaurant! Everything was excellent: food, service, ambience, drinks, music, accomodating a vegetarian... We had a fantastic meal and we can't wait to return!

✨ Where art meets food. ✨
L’Atelier is a little treasure tucked away in the heart of Sidney. Sophisticated and intimate, it’s the perfect spot for a special occasion. The menu is refined and thoughtfully crafted—a true delight for the connoisseur. A beautiful experience where every detail feels intentional. Highly recommend!

My rating is based on the service only. We had a reservation for our anniversary however they cancelled on us the day of via email due to an event they were having. My husband replied to the email asking for a spot on the next two Sundays but never received a reply. We had also tried booking with them previously via email per their website when they first opened but never received a call back.

I believe this may be the best restaurant in town. The service is outstanding, what you would expect from a 5 star restaurant in a big city. The food, excellent. I had the trout with the scallop starter. My partner had the pork loin chop. Everything was seasoned nicely and tasted great. My only critique is the music which revolved primarily around old Dean Martin songs. Admittedly most of the clients might have been of a certain generation but what about the rest of us Gen X’rs. Remember, those people won’t be around much longer. Think about the young 50 somethings ;)

We had an absolutely delicious meal and an enchanting evening here for our wedding anniversary! We had the mussels in white wine served with bread for our appetizer (the mussels are fresh and locally sourced from Salt Spring), the beef tenderloin and rack of lamb for dinner, and the brown sugar tart for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly, prepared beautifully, and with wonderful flavor. The atmosphere and music was fantastic (classic 1940s and 1950s tunes), the staff are incredibly friendly, and we even got to meet and chat with Matt, the chef! He is a local from Sidney, worked with top chefs in London, and returned to his hometown to gift us with his wonderful cuisine. My husband and I are very rarely impressed by restaurants in the area, and this place knocked it out of the park. We can’t wait to come back soon for happy hour or another dinner! Thank you so much, Matt!

My wife treated me to my birthday at Atelier. In short this was a Michelin starred experience. I have lived on the Saanich Peninsula for years, this was the best of all the fine dining available. Thank you Matt.
We have been to the location about 5-6 times. The food and service is consistently great. One is not rushed and the menu selection is not large but more than covers all the bases. The Sunday night mussels and wine appetizer special is excellent and very good value. It is one of our favourite locations in Sidney. Only suggestion would be to install baffles of some kind as it can be a bit noisy on a full night. G & B Wakeford
Nice experience!!!
5 star!
Food was genuinely incredible, I couldn't decide what to get so went with chefs choice and everything was delicious. The cocktails are unique and really well thought out and the service was friendly and super professional. The beef short ribs were out of this world and I would really reccomend as being a really well balanced flavors and melt in the mouth beef so thank you for a wonderful evening!
