I arrived at 12:30pm for a quick lunch at Homestead Cafe because I had business in the area. The place was full and there was one server for 10-12 tables. In spite of this, they were attentive to my needs, and timely. The soup was excellent, did not skimp on protein, and came with fresh bread. The salad was likewise perfectly seasoned, very fresh, very tastey. Furnishing are basic, home-style, nothing to write about, but in good repair. The atmosphere is friendly and its a small place without feeling crowded. It wasn't loud, even when full of customers at busiest hour. I will definitely return for the great food and service.

This place is one of those “diamonds-in-the-rough” eateries. It just has a change of ownership so I cannot comment on the previous owner’s offering, but the new owners are warm, friendly and very welcoming. The industrial area of Sidney is not tourist-heavy, but don’t let that fool you. The breakfast eggs are fantastic, the servings are plentiful and the atmosphere is very homey!

What’s not to love? This place felt like coming over to Grandma’s house for breakfast. The workers all were so friendly and really made the experience worthwhile. Definitely a spot to re-visit!
