Bacon kimchi fried rice is great. Also, the beef bulgogi is like comfort food, so good!

Always nice to find a bento box lunch; decided on the beef and a tempura. Each lunch is served with a miso soup. The rice is served with a peanut sauce, which is optional.
The tempura is very well done - light and crunchy; shrimp, onion rings, yam and pea. The tempura sauce for dipping is perfect.
Added another side of tempura shrimp and it was yummy.
Great location for a quick lunch whether business or leisure.

The food is very good, a Korean Japanese fusion. Certainly the best and most varied in Sidney.
Any of the tempura is delicious, they have a unique tempura mix.
The Jae Yook, spicy pork, is my favourite.
The service is curt and polite. No small talk and quite traditional.
Great hours.
Clean and quiet, it did get busy but was still quiet. Staff are friendly and fast, food was great.

Good for takeout. Eating area fine for a quick, on the go meal.
Ramen broth tasted thin but I am used to Japanese ramen shops. Gyoza is packaged, not made on site.
Rice was nicely produced.
Next time will try the sashimi.

Absolutely terrible experience. We visited this restaurant while on vacation in Victoria Island, and it was a huge disappointment. The miso soup was unbearably salty—completely inedible. The sushi came next, and while the taste was average at best, the rolls were falling apart. The worst part? I found a hair tightly rolled into one of my sushi pieces. Disgusting. When I informed the staff, they quickly took the plate away but then claimed the hair must’ve been mine, which made the situation even worse. No apology, no accountability. Just a warning to fellow tourists: avoid this place—bad food, poor hygiene, and even worse customer service.

One of the servers was disrespectful. However, the food made up for it. The portion is good, and the homemade sauces are exquisite. I definitely recommend the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. The only issue in the food was that some of the rice in the sushi rolls fell apart when trying to eat. Overall, it was a nice 4-star experience.

For the price, this is some of the poorest quality food I've had recently.

A little expensive but with with limited options in Sidney it's a decent spot.

Absolutely delicious traditionally prepared foods that dance on the palate.
Had the agedashi tofu, the bacon kimchi rice bowl, and a spicy avo salmon roll. Everything exceeded expectations, the sauces highlighted the mains perfectly.
