I made a reservation the day we wanted to go for my birthday. They gave us a lovely table by the window. Jazz music was great, and the food and service were fantastic! Will definitely be back!

Riva is a very great place to dine here in sidney! All the food is delicious especially their pastas, we came in for dinner with family and the service and staff is very nice and the food did not take long to come out. The plates are nicely plated and good sized. The restaurant is decorated nicely and I would consider it a formal dining because it is a bit pricey. I also recommend making a reservation in advance cause it is very popular. Overall the experience was great and I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in sidney!

Riva is by FAR my fav restaurant! The food is always so great, with a rotating menu so always something new to try. The view is unbeatable. Plus the staff are all incredibly friendly. We have never needed a reservation either which is so nice. A local gem that I hope stays around for a long long time❤️

We were abandoned by @westjet when they cancelled our flight home from YYJ. And based on a recommendation, we had a fantastic dinner at your place, and your staff allowed us to sit and relax well past closing before we headed back to the airport for an uncomfortable night before our 5:00AM flight.
It was an evening of dichotomies, the worst customer service from #westjet to the best imaginable form you #rivayyj

Cliff notes: Good food, over priced, terrible service. Not a pub atmosphere at all. Very much a restaurant for older people. Would not go again!
While the food was good, it was very over priced for what it was. We were seated right away, brought water and then ignored for a while (at least 10 minutes), then we ordered. A different server brought our food to the table. I had to send my burger back because it came with a jalapeño on top, which I am allergic too. The bun was replaced and brought back quickly. There was onion on my burger which was not listed in the ingredients. I had to remove them because, again, I am allergic. The waitress never came buy to see how our food was. Once we had finished our plates were taken and the waitress asked if we wanted desert, which we did not. I asked for the bill. As she went to get our bill I put my card on the table and we waited 15-20 minutes for her to finally bring our bill. The server had only a couple of tables and the restaurant was fairly empty (10 tables filled at the most) with at least 4 servers. The atmosphere is definitely to an older (senior) crowd. Not updated or modernized at all. Table was wobbly and sticky. Having over 2 years serving experience, I was appalled with the bad service. Never going again!

Sent 2 meals back. I keep trying with this restaurant but never again. $ 26 for a baked lasagna that was on the specials. It was smaller than the palm of my hand. Worst fish taco's I have ever had. Food is way over priced and poor quality

Stopped in here for a Sunday Lunch. The Goods. Great view. Friendly Staff. The Bads. Super expensive. $28 Burger (Mediocre). $35 Spag Bog. (Not Good). $24 Fish Tacos. (Average) Expensive with below average food is not a good combo. Bottom line. Wouldn’t go again.
Unreal food and atmosphere. I got the mushroom and leak risotto which was fantastic. While I already love risotto my partner does not and even he was mindblown how amazing it was! 100/10

Awesome experience having brunch with my wife today. Our server Merril was great. You will be greeted by a friendly host and we managed to have a window table. Service is to notch and the food was really tasty. Well worth driving to Sidney for this. Coffee was freshly brewed.

Beautiful space, well decorated. The food was very odd. Hibachi shrimp sounded so good, a stir-fry veggie with shrimp dish topped with a weird mayonnaise sauce? Not a good taste. The veggie lettuce wraps were not worth the price and way overspiced.
Come for drinks and enjoy the view but avoid food!
